Serge Res EQ and Wave Multipliers

"Experiment focusing on the Serge Wave Multipliers module (lower half this time) and Resonant EQ (main EQ out). The DUSG provides the basic VCO tone - also the Frequency Shifter helps build up the drone.

It really is amazing to me how much sound can come from or be modified using these few modules. Awesome!

The sound was recorded directly into a ONYX Black Jack audio interface - straight into my MacBook - that "hot" sound is due to the nature of the patch - the signal is actually fairly clean. The video quality is pretty low, as I wanted to focus on the sound of these modules in this style of a patch."

"This is a General MIDI (GM) file (creator unknown, so unable to credit) of Quincy Jones's "Soul Bossa Nova" (aka "Austin Powers Theme") played through a Roland JV-1080 synth module (boringly pictured) set to GM mode. No additional instruments or external processing added.

I recently got the JV-1080 and found some old MIDI files to play through it in GM mode for the fun of it and just thought I'd share some of the better ones for synth gearheads and anyone else interested."
