Buchla iPad Sequencer

YouTube Uploaded by djangosfire on Feb 28, 2012

"Testing out the "Little MIDI Machine" iPad app by "Synthetic Bits" - it's a cool, simple to use "ARP style" virtual analog step sequencer.

I'm using a IK Multimedia "iRig" MIDI interface for the iPad . . . and a Kenton "Pro Solo MK II" MIDI to CV converter.

Really fun, and easy to use setup - love it!"

Little MIDI Machine is still free for iPad and iPhone/iPad Touch:

Note the iPad 3 is scheduled to come out on March 7. Keep an eye out for prices to go down on the iPad 1 and 2. An iPad 1 does great as a controller and should do fine with currently available synths for iOS.

Roland JV-1080 (GM Mode) - Cage Medley (Abridged)

YouTube Uploaded by xnonsuchx on Feb 28, 2012

"This is the first ~14.5 mins. of a General MIDI (GM) file (seq. by Santibanks(?), available on www.genesis-midi.com ...a great source of high quality MIDI files) of Genesis' "Cage Medley" (from the "Mama" tour...but may be the same as "Three Sides Live") played through a Roland JV-1080 synth module (boringly pictured) set to GM mode. No additional instruments or external processing added.

I recently got the JV-1080 and found some old MIDI files to play through it in GM mode for the fun of it and just thought I'd share some of the better ones for synth gearheads and anyone else interested."

Micro Phasemonger Teaser 2 **with fuzz!**

YouTube Uploaded by synthmonger on Feb 28, 2012

"Here's another teaser for my Micro Phasemonger which will be available March 2012.

The design is a totally new take on Phase shifting. It's all analog and no DSP, yet with the aliasing mode it can be hard to convince non believers. Only 4 phase stages but the range "sounds" greater. The MK1 and MK2 will have plenty more stages.

In this demo I ran my 'Fuzzbender' prototype pedal/kit through the µPhasemonger. It was hard to play anything but simple notes and chords on the guitar because I had to hold the phone to take video, sorry in advanced if anyone was expecting more crazy guitar licks =^.^= I will have a lengthy video in the feature demoing every lil' sound this gnarly pedal can give out.

There will be two knobs for "Rate" and "Resonance" and two toggle switches for 'mix' and 'Aliasing'."
