"Andromeda’s fully analog signal path is controlled by a high-speed Motorola Coldfire microprocessor, offering 16-voice polyphony with 16-part multitimbral capability. Andromeda features two analog oscillators per voice, with standard waveforms (available simultaneously), suboscillators, hard and soft sync, and more. It provides two analog filters per voice: these 2-pole (multimode) and 4-pole (lowpass) resonating filters are classically-derived designs, and offer you an astounding range of sonic variability.
Andromeda also provides external audio inputs that allow you to route any signal through its filters. Andromeda has three LFOs, each with six waveforms and many powerful features. It also has three 7-stage, 3-level envelopes capable of functions never before found in any analog synthesizer. An extensive mod matrix offers you an enormous freedom in configuring Andromeda’s sonic firepower, adding to its monstrous capabilities.
Andromeda’s 61-note synth-weighted keypad features velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, and its ribbon controlled offers multiple, assignable functions. A distinctive, futuristic front panel features 72 knobs and 114 buttons (the majority are single function), optimally arranged for rapid-fire tweaking and in-depth experimentation. Andromeda’s large, backlit LCD display provides real-world values of parameters (time, frequency, BPM, etc.) and high-resolution graphics. No other synth has ever offered such a sophisticated, informative control panel for creating analog pyrotechnics."

Patch and knob control sheet below.
"It's very compact (about the size of a CD) yet if features a wealth of modules which can be connected via patch cables. Astonishingly flexible: oscillator, LFO, ADSR envelope generator, VCA, VCF, noise source, ring modulation and MIDI interface all in this tiny package.
Key functions are controlled by sixteen color-coded potentiometers. Synthesizer sections are connected via thirty 2mm mini-banana sockets.Check the description below or the 3rd photo for more details about the controls and patch points.
The build quality is amazing. The thing feels totally solid, and all the knobs and jacks are firm yet smooth. It’s a modular synthesizer that you can hold in the palm of your hand. It’s incredible flexible, sounds good and can make all sorts of noises. You may even hook it up to a MIDI keyboard.
Unfortunately the one man company went belly up and ceased to exist quite some time ago. There are only very few of these synthesizers, rarely being offered for sale.
The device is in very good shape, without scratches, fully functional. It comes with a few patch cables to get you going.
The manufacturer says:
The bC16 miniature patch synthesizer packs a fully featured VCO, LFO, envelope generator, analog VCA, analog VCF, noise sources & ring modulator all in a CD sized case CNC machined from 10mm high-grade acrylic plastic.
Fifteen color coded potentiometers control key functions, connections between synthesizer sections are done using twenty-five 2mm mini-banana sockets.
Powered by either six AAA batteries or by an external (not supplied) 9 to 12v source, the bC16 can be used free standing (internal headphone amplifier), linked to an external keyboard/sequencer or MIDI-CV converters, combined with other bC16's, etc...
VCO: The complex VCO (actually two linked VCO's) waveshape can be adjusted through sine/triangle/sawtooth and square wave (with adjustable dutycycle). The VCO can be CV modulated (log response), FM modulated (linear response) or can be driven by MIDI NOTE values. The two linked VCO's can be offset using a control knob, CV or MIDI for rich complex tones.
LFO: Like the VCO the LFO is actually two linked low frequency oscillators with a host of modulation possibilties and waveshapes. Like the VCO the LFO can also be controlled via MIDI.
VCF: An all analog 24dB discrete ladder filter with variable cuttoff (knob and CV), adjustable resonance, specially designed to work from the low voltage busses in the bC16.
EG: The bC16 envelope generator is very easy to use, four knobs (or via MIDI) control the Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release parameters of the envelope. Set sustain to zero and the EG enters repeat mode for long VCS3 style modulation possibilites.
VCA & HEADPHONE AMP: An analog voltage controlled amplifier is provided along with an built-in headphone amplifier (volume control via grey knob)."

Pro Tools 10 Tutorial - Using Bjork's Biophilia as a Midi Controller
Published on Oct 29, 2012 by AimTVSydney
Control starts at 2:18.
"This tutorial demonstrates how to use Bjork's 'Biophilia' App as a creative music production tool in Pro Tools. Utilising the WI-FI options on the iphone/ipad and a computer, users can lean how to create a connection between both devices, and compose or produce sound in Pro Tools using the Biophilia app.
In the Composition and Music Production department at AIM, students can utilise this process to produce and create their own sound and music.
