"::: RARE! 1986 Emu Emulator II+ Model 6060 sampler/synthesizer :::
This machine has been fully serviced/tested/refurbished and in all-around excellent working condition. Cosmetically it is in very nice condition with some light scuffing to the shell corners, and also some wear to the top of the Lexan panel to mention. All SSM voices, buttons, sliders, pots, ins/outs, keys, midi, sampling function, filters, pitch/mod wheels, LCD, backlight, both floppy drives, 1MB RAM memory, RS422 connection to Macintosh are all working as they should. This EII+ has just gone-through an extensive servicing/cleaning of button contacts, pcb's, pots, keyboard assembly, sliders, general calibration/testing, and a brand-new blue-green backlight installed. The EII+ was introduced with not only a new font-style, it also introduced the 1MB upgrade (not to be confused with the mis-leading EII "Memory Option" piggyback board, which is simply the remaining 256k needed to properly run a standard 512MB Emulator II // this "Memory Option" piggyback board is actually removed when upgrading a 512MB Emulator II to an EII+ model, and is no longer needed). The 1MB of the EII+ allows the user to "toggle" between "Bank A" and "Bank B" with the double-click of the "0" button, which is extremely useful for immediate access of additional patches. The EII+ also has substantially quieter 5.25" floppy drives (Panasonic) vs. the earlier EII's with 5.25" Shugart floppy drives. Also "yellow" LED's on the Panasonic drive instead of the "red" Shugart LED, as well as no set-screw for the disk-latch mechanism of the Panasonic drive. If you are looking for a perfectly functioning/calibrated/tested Emulator II+, don't miss this one!! The Emu Systems Emulator II is the holy grail of 8-bit samplers, using 8 x SSM2045 analog filter chips, for the most beautiful of sounds!!"

"Designed by a musician for musicians Drums by Asrodot brings a novel twist to drumming on the iPad.

Ask a drummer or a percussionist what a wooden coffee table sounds like. He or she will reply that every inch of the table sounds differently. Some parts of the table will sound somewhat like a bass drum. Other parts of the table will sound more like a rimshot. Parts in-between will sound like a mixture of both.

A drummer or a percussionist placed behind a wooden coffee table will soon discover many different sounds the table has to offer and use it to create stunning rhythms. Much to the joy of the drummer/percussionist, and possibly to the annoyance of the other people sitting at the table. The table metaphor has been used in the creation of Drums by Asrodot. Using the real estate of the iPad screen it has been made sure that every pixel sounds just a little bit different, which makes drumming on the iPad come to life. Want to create drumrolls with subtle accents every third note? Now you can.

This does not mean that Drums by Asrodot sounds like a coffee-table. The app comes loaded with six drum kits tailored for various styles of music.

Features:

Studio Electronics Boomstar Videos Featuring Drew Neumann

Studio Electronics 4075 3003 Boomstars Featuring Drew Neumann

Published on Feb 1, 2013 StudioElectronics·3 videos

"As stated in worthy elsewheres: 'A 4 hour tour of Boomstar 4075 and 3003 sounds from top to bottom, tracked in DP7.24. No EQ, compression, or plugins, other than a gate sequencer on a freeform "NAMM iphone" recording/track to tempo match it, and one or two delays on certain lead tracks. No mixing, no mess--just a faders up affair with a few soundbite fades: all pillows removed. Component/construction kit tracks will be uploaded to SoundCloud as well.

In the composer's own words: "This is done ONLY with the 2 Boomstars--all noises, drum tracks, everything is the 4075 and 3003, overdubbed like crazy in Digital Performer. Most tracks are dry and raw, just delays on a few channels. There is just a final mastering limiter bounce on the mix file, that's it.'

Matching sounds on both synths was a snap... pretty key.
4075: Hi-Hats, kicks, resonance saturated kicks and kick loops.
3003: Lead sound doubles, hard bass line doubles, snare, "Ringo" tom fills."

Triadex Muse & Eurorack Modular | Switched On Demos

Published on Feb 1, 2013 Switched On·39 videos

I believe this is the first digital synth ever made back in 1972.

"Triadex Muse meets modular synthesis!

We recently repaired the rare Triadex Muse for one of our clients. For those unfamiliar the Triadex Muse is an algorithmic based random composition generator. It uses a sequenced set of assignable notes to generate non repeating patterns. We decided to process it through some of modular set up and give it an all new character!

Our signal chain:
Triadex Muse
Bubblesound Sem20 filter
Pittsburgh Modular Analog Delay
4MS VCA Matrix
Pittsburgh Modular Stereo Out

We are using one Bubblesound VCOb as a modulation source to the VCA Matrix and another to modulate the Sem20 filter in lowpass mode. Enjoy!
