"The Ruin Electronics TCG-1 is a compact noise synth. The 'Tone Cluster' is a group of four Oscillators that can all be tuned with a single frequency control, but the oscillators can also be spread from the center frequency with the 'Spread' control. This gives great control over the four Oscillators using only two knobs. The oscillators can either be mixed in equal amounts or ring modded together. These modes are changed with a toggle switch. The Oscillator Frequency also has a CV input, labelled F CV that can be used with external gear. The output of the Oscillators is sent to the Filter. The Filter has Lowpass and Bandpass modes changed with a toggle switch.. There are knobs to control the Cutoff Frequency, and the Resonance. The Filter also has a CV input, labelled C CV.

The TCG-1 can either be powered by a 9v battery, found in the lid, or with an external center positive adapter from 12-18v."

'This is the Ruin Electronics TCG-1 (Tone Cluster Generator). This is a one of a kind instrument. It was professionally built and designed by Ruin. The unit has been built into a wooden case with a hinged lid. The TCG-1 is new; no previous owners.

The TCG-1 is a 100% Analog compact noise synthesizer.
The TCG-1 can either be powered by a 9v battery, found in the lid, or with an external center positive 2.1mm adapter from 12-18v.
The output from the TCG-1 is a 1/4" jack.

Space sounds, crackles, hums, percussion, alien speech, warbles, zaps, clangs, bangs, basslines, sequencer runs, rhythms. This is a great unit for performance, sampling, or just plain old fun!
Please see the video further down for a demonstration.
The units approximate measurements are:
7" width x 4" depth x 2.75" height

The unit features:

Tone Cluster VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) There are 4 Square wave VCOs in the Cluster, which can be tuned with the Frequency control, and spread from the center frequency in pairs, with the spread control. When the knob is close to center, the oscillators are closest to the center frequency, when it is turned either CW or CCW two Oscillators will move up and the other two will move down in frequency. There is a switch to control Ring mod or Mixing mode.
Bandpass/Lowpass VCF (Voltage Controlled Filter). The filter is extremely resonant and will self oscillate. The VCF has a Frequency and Resonance control and a switch for Lowpass/Bandpass response.
CV inputs for VCF and Tone Cluster control. The CV inputs are 1/8" jacks.
1/4" Output
9V battery or DC adapter. With a choice of either 9V battery or external DC adapter the unit can be a portable unit for busking or impromptu outside jam sessions (when accompanied by a portable amplifier) or a studio piece. Featuring an on board regulator the unit will clean up any power source from 12-18V"

"Here is a demonstration of the Modcan CV Recorder being used as a sampler."

Corsynth C104 - Kind of piano sound panel

"Kind of piano sound created using the CV control of the "Diode Soft Clipping" . One C104 VCO ( at audio range ) is used to modulated the Soft Clipping amount of another C104 VCO. What you hear here is just one VCO. Two tracks were recorded one with the low notes and another one with the main melody."
