Rheyne - Ambient Jam #3

Published on May 1, 2013 RheyneMusic·109 videos

"A short live looping ambient jam against a pre-recorded video loop of me playing a Steinway grand piano. The piano video was recorded with an iPhone and its built-in microphone, and is running through Ableton Live's reverb, delay, and filter.

The idea of an 'iPad video within a video' was inspired by Infinite Sinewave's 'Nothing Wasted' live performance. See his video here: http://youtu.be/CqtJ6GrzTL0"

Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot And The Gang

Published on May 1, 2013 GM1ify·28 videos

"The Trigger Riot triggers everything, the drums, the envelopes, the Z8000 sequencers, the Z8000 direction. The 808/909 drums goes through Clarky CGS grinder and then through Cwejman ring mod controlled by the Z8000. The Piston Honda and Z3000 both are controlled by the Z8000."

And an update on the status of the upcoming Trigger Riot:

"Hey all, yes it's May and I wish i had better news, but the Riots are still in assembly and not yet ready to ship. The good news is that the delay gave us more time to add features! Right now we are adding DinSync both in and out so the Riot can either be a master or slave to xox machines. We also added preset looping, this thing just gets deeper and deeper. The price is not decided yet but will most likely be $500, hopefully we don't have any surprises when we get the bill from the assembly house. So hold on just a bit more, there will be a riot soon."

The Moog Ladder Filter - National Inventors Hall of Fame for Patent No 3475623

Published on May 1, 2013 MoogMusicInc·234 videos

"Moog Engineer Rick Shaich discusses the Ladder Filter, the first Voltage Controlled Filter, which is the heart and soul of the Moog modular synthesizers of the 60s, the Legendary Minimoog of the 70's, and is still the same filter topology used in all Moog Synthesizers to this day. The Ladder Filter creates the massive, thick sound for which Moog instruments are renowned."

"Moog Inducted into National Inventors Hall of Fame for Patent No 3475623, The Moog Ladder Filter

ASHEVILLE, NC – May 1, 2013 – Moog Music is proud to announce that today its founder Dr. Robert Moog will be posthumously inducted in to the United States Patent and Trademark Office National Inventors Hall of Fame.

Dr. Moog is being awarded this honor for Patent No. 3475623, more commonly known to Moog fans as the Moog Ladder Filter. Moog Music, which will be hosting Moogfest, its annual celebration of the innovative spirit of Dr. Moog on April 25th-27th 2014, has created a video featuring Moog hardware engineer Rick Shaich discussing the importance and innovation of this creation. The video can be seen here: http://www.moogmusic.com/sight-and-sound/product_demo/moog-ladder-filter

In the video, Shaich discusses the Ladder Filter, the first Voltage Controlled Filter, which is the heart and soul of the Moog modular synthesizers of the 60s, the Legendary Minimoog of the 70's, and is still the same filter topology used in all Moog Synthesizers to this day. The Ladder Filter is an essential element of the massive, thick sound for which Moog instruments are renowned.

To celebrate this historic occasion Moog Music is reissuing the Moog Ladder Filter Tee, which is now available for pre-order and will ship with a free poster commemorating Bob Moog's induction to the National Inventors Hall of Fame."

"Just a quickly slapped together "high five" to Bob Moog for the honor he is posthumously receiving today for his ladder filter.

Those with sharp eyes and "in the know" will notice this is just a clone of the famous Moog 904A VCF. The 9504A clone was made by Don Martin in the 1990's I believe.

Other modules used included: Synth Tech MOTM VCOs, VCAs, ADSRs, VCAs and LFO Moon Modular sequencers COTK delay"

Silent Way + ES-3 with Fireface 400 Uploaded on Apr 30, 2011
"After much fumbling, I've finally got Silent Way to work with my ES-3 and my RME Fireface 400 audio interface! It's insane how well it works once you get the hang of things.
As far as modules go, I'm using Silent Way to control my RS-60, Piston Honda, and Polivoks VCF which are all routed into HexVCA and finally into Mutagen.
Thank you os on muffwiggler for helping me! I'm very excited to see what this is capable of!"
Frequensteiner Demo at Big City Music Uploaded on Apr 12, 2011
Roger of Big City Music was kind enough to let me test out Livewire's awesome Frequensteiner in the store before buying it! I don't think anybody else in LA would even allow that, let alone letting you mess around with every other module they had there (including a bomb cwejman modular!). The oscillator was coming from Wiard Anti-Oscillator and routed through an Analogue Systems Modular.
