The ARP 1506 "Sound Lab" Filter w/ Analogue Solutions Telemark & Oberkorn

"Here's a vintage ARP 1506 'Sound Lab' Filter in its original housing being tested for functionality (yes, it works).

The 1506 is being fed a RAW, unfiltered bass line from the Analogue Solutions Telemark synthesizer. The filter on the TM was purposely left raw and dry for this test. The Oberkorn analogue sequencer is modulating the CV input on the 1506.

The 1506, once properly fitted onto a new plate, will make for a great (authentic) eurorack ARP filter -- battery powered of course.

"Continued to tweak on the patch from the previous video. I think a bit less trancy, but what the heck. Now, the G8 is in trigger mode, driving 4ms PEG and Make Noise Maths, which control VCA Matrix. The G8 is also providing the timing pulses for the 4ms stuff. Overall rhythm from Oberkorn. Using the 4ms QPLFO for some of the PDO modulation - very interesting how these thing react to triggers instead of gates."

"This is a Moog in suitcase. A synth designed by MuSonics and worked on by Bob Moog. The X/Y LFO's allow you to create layers of modulation that ad depth to any sound. The filter sounds amazing; I have never heard a filter oscillate as loudly and smooth as this synth's. This synth was fully restored by one of NYC's finest synth repair shops. I have a receipt from August 2013 that shows this synth was fully cleaned, calibrated and tested 100% functional. The speaker was even replaced with a newer, higher quality speaker that sounds nice. The speaker is great for coming up with sounds in your room, or taking the synth over to a friends place to write music. This synth has ring mod, separate outs for the pre-filter oscillator signals, oscillator sync, the LFO's can trigger the oscillator..."
