Xen-FMTS 2 • The Sidebander • ARO Demo

Published on Mar 1, 2014 Xen-Arts·2 videos

"Timbre demonstration of the Xen-FMTS 2 LFOs running at audio rate. There are seven dedicated hybrid modulators for Operators A, B, C, D, Filters, Amplifier and Pitch. Each modulator includes an ADSR style envelope generator, and an LFO which can be switched to run at audio-rate. With the LFOs running at audio-rate, the pitch is controlled by the MIDI-to-CV and the loaded MTS Microtuning file; transforming them into pitch-accurate microtonal-controlled oscillators, which are in turn capable of introducing microtuning related sideband spectra into the composite synthesizer signal."

EVERY sound is meticulously programmed and includes unique effects and controller data.

Devil Fish-Audio In to Filter-Chord sequence(TUTORIAL)

Published on Mar 1, 2014 TB-303 Devil Fish·11 videos

"Using the Devil Fishes MIDI OUT to record notes into the RS7000, then converting that seq into chords and using the HALO PAD sound from the RS7000 to the Audio in to Filter input of the Devil Fish, along with the MIDI note seq associated with it to open the gates and trigger the Accents etc so its all in sync.

This tutorial is aimed at the MIDI IN & OUT system of the Devil Fish, which to date I am the only Devil Fish user with, but if you have MIDI IN then most of the basic principles would still apply if you were making a pattern in a sequencer/sound module, instead of recording it from the Devil Fish."

Moog factory 10/14/02

Published on Mar 1, 2014 Ken Soper·20 videos

"A tour of the entire Moog assembly line in one minute! After I had a chance to play the Voyager Steve Dunnington took us in to the main production room. Moog has much larger accommodations now, but in 2002 the entire facility was only 3 or 4 rooms including the shipping area. Mike Adams' "office" was the corner of the front room and he sat behind an old green metal teacher's desk. The "breakroom" was another corner-- a picnic bench covered with a vinyl red and white checkerboard tablecloth. It was charming, warm and intimate. Thanks to all the folks who built and continue to build the greatest electronic musical instruments on the planet."
