MONOLITH Modular Analog Monosynth - Only 5 Made

"This is a beautiful, rare analog modular monosynth; the Monolith from LZX Industries.

Only 5 of these were ever made, so you’re unlikely to see one again any time soon.

This synth sounds great doing bread-and-butter monosynth sounds and can also get a bit wild when you crank up the resonance on the self-oscillating filter. Plus it’s fully modular so you can get crazy with the patching.

Here are the specs;

The LZX Monolith is a 5U form factor modular synthesizer voice enclosed in one panel design and is based on the Music from Outer Space Sound Lab.
A ready-to-go fully modular synth voice that can easily work with 1v per octave analog equipment, midi to cv converter with your midi controllers or computer, or something like the Akai Max 49.

Modules are as follows:
· VCO 1 (Sawtooth, 2 FM ports)
· VCO 2 (Sawtooth and Pulse, Pulsewidth Modulation, FM1, FM2)
· Signal Mixer (3 ins summed to one out, individual knobs to attenuate volume or voltage)
· VCF (Resonant Lowpass and Bandpass filter, Cutoff FM port.
· VCA (1 I/O, 2 CV ports to influence volume)
· Secondary Signal Mixer (Another stage of audio or voltage blending, 2 Ins, 1 Inverted in, 1 Out.)
· AD Envelope Generator (Trig or Gate switch, Cycle mod to simulate LFO effects, Trig In, Voltage out. )
· Modulation Generator (Sawtooth, Triangle, Ramp, Square, Fast or Slow mode switch, Frequency knob, CV out)
· Noise Generator
· Blank Ports are Multis
· Real Wood End-Cheeks!"

Dasz Instruments Alex Synthesizer @ Musikmesse 2016

Published on Apr 8, 2016 Bedroom Producers Blog

"A demonstration of the Dasz Instruments Alex expandable synthesizer at Musikmesse 2016. Apologies for the extreme flickering in the video - it was caused by a bad setting on my camera. The instrument actually looks great and the buttons/screen don't flicker at all."
