Elastic Drums "sampler" update 1.9 preview

Published on Oct 3, 2016 Oliver Greschke

"Elastic Drums update 1.9 is near! It will have a new sampler instrument included, that is capable of producing 'elastic' sounds, you are not able to do with a standard sampler. The sampler is able to pitch, play forth and back a sample, and you can also loop a certain period of the sample. For the iPad version there is also new "fader view", where you can edit your velocity and automation records in a more detailed way"

"cute pattern i needed to record before moving on to other things. all the usual suspects, eurorack with metropolis on brownian sequence duty, octatrack on drums and mixing, analog four doing bass + other melodies. still working on my live chops, trying to keep things interesting while using as few patterns as possible."

Volca FM thru Boss DD 6 Delay

Published on Oct 2, 2016 HardtekStudios

"Even a basic guitar pedal can do wonders for the already amazing Korg Volca Bass. This time I run the FM thru a Boss DD-6 Digital Delay pedal. No midi or gate syncing. The timing is not perfect, but it adds a little bit more groove & dimension to the sound than if it was perfectly timed. Watch till the end for an awesomely thick texture made from cranking up the feedback!"

Moog Minimoog D Analog Synthesizer SN 10252

via this auction

This is an original 1978 Minimoog model D synthesizer in excellent cosmetic and working condition. It is one of the desireable later serial number models (10252) which means that the oscillators don't drift nearly as much as they do with the earlier models. In fact this one is extremely stable. It looks great and sounds like gold. The only issue with this synth that I can see is that the pitch bend wheel does not work. From the research I have done this is very common and an easy problem to fix (clean or replace the contacts). In fact I will try to do this myself if I can find the time before the auction ends. You can hear a sample of this minimoog which I used in this song here."
