Sequential OB-6 Sound Pack - FM TONES VOLUME 2

video upload by Polydata

"This is the 2nd volume sound pack of 50 patches with sequences for the excellent Dave Smith Instruments / Sequential / Oberheim OB-6 analog synthesizer. All of these patches use VCO 2 as an audio rate modulation source via the X-Mod section. FM on this synth is a big part of what makes it exciting for me and I hope these patches help you see it in a fresh way. Other than the drum and sound effects patches, they are all tuned and transposed to be used with the standard 12 tone scale.

Sounds load into slots 350-399 as default. Everything heard here is totally dry, with no eq or compression.

Note these patches use the latest firmware with the "Vintage Knob" functionality. Additionally, each analog synth is slightly different, if your patches are sounding a bit out of tune, slightly adjust the "VCO 2" amount in the X-Mod section until it sounds right.

Linear Velocity Jam with sounds only from Novation Supernova 2 synthesizer

video upload by js-sound

"I made this track purely to demonstrate the synth Novation Supernova II , not for the sake of the music itself. Sometimes when I feel like jamming, I can make a track like this one in one day. Sometimes it's better to listen to music while demonstrating a synthesizer than to listen to presets one by one. :-)

My Bandcamp is here https://js-sound.bandcamp.com/releases
Linear Velocity in better Quality is here https://js-sound.bandcamp.com/track/l...

If you have a Supernova 2 and it doesn't work properly, I've already "cured" 10 of these synths. I have already changed chipboard processors, and RAM and DAC and other electronics. I can help you fix bugs in Supernova 2. Write me to this address: fotojs77 at gmail.com"

'The High Road' Patch Video From 1994-95

video upload by ParadisoModular

"This is the earliest synth patch video that I've made. The piece was inspired by thinking about Fripp & Eno style drones - this is where that went. This video shows this actual patch running the the basement studio I had in my townhouse condo at the time - most of it features line-recorded audio, shifting to an actual live camera microphone when I shut everything down at the end. I shot it on a Hi-8 camera that I brought home from the Media Lab for the occasion - it has authentic grain of age here. Several years later, I named this piece 'The High Road' - it has that vibe."

Living on the Edgelands | Electropop

video upload by Mamotreco

"Take a walk right on the edge between civilization and wasteland in this experimental electropop track. An ominous ghost numbers radio voice intones over an increasingly poignant synth music instrumental while the camera threads through the top of an embankment between a highway and a railway.
