"Super warm sounding vintage analog polysynth

It has been extensively serviced (all key contacts cleaned, all tact switches renewed, power supply recapped), And it has MIDI IN fitted !

It's in a very beautiful, well preserved condition. Smoke free and clean.

Everything is working perfectly, and the great analog sound quality speaks for itself."

Welcome to Bad Gear, the show about the world's most hated audio tools. Today we are going to talk about the Roland JD-08. Is this digital synthesizer, member of the Roland Boutique family and miniscule version of the somewhat legendary Roland JD-800 a worthwhile alternative to the 1991 original? Did they emulate the red glue too? Is this synth just ri-di-cu-lous ?

I carpe diemed the hell out of Beeple's public domain VJ loops in the finale:

Hologram Microcosm: Electric Piano and Mono Synth

video upload by Hologram Electronics

"In addition to its eccentric effects, Microcosm can be used in more traditional sound design contexts too!

🎹 The electric piano here (Hohner Pianet) has no onboard effects. With Microcosm's Looper Only mode, we created a chorus + reverb effect to run the Pianet through."

I used here the Moog Minimoog (1978) for all sound parts.

The Moog Minimoog Synthesizer is one of the big legendary synths in music history. Used by many pop and rock groups in the 70s, 80s and today. Here can you find the full Minimoog playlist with a lot single sound demos, synth comparisions and one synth demo tracks. Enjoy.

YAMAHA CS-60 - one song - one synth - live looping

video upload by The Synth King

"Here you find my edited version of a live looping session with my Yamaha CS-60 and the Boss RC-505 MK2. Since the CS-60 can hold only one user preset plus the panel setttings, it's not that easy to change sounds on the fly. The song structure is quite simple. Everything you hear is basicly improvisation except for the chord progression which I wrote down beforehand.
Enjoy the music!

Access Virus TI - Classic Sounds [SOUNDSET]

video upload by Mr. Card

"My private collection of classic vintage sounds (Bass, Brass, Keys, Lead, Organ, Pad, Pluck, Seq, Other) dedicated to Access Virus TI & TI2 . I've always loved classic sounds like Oberheim OB-X, Roland SH-101, Moog Minimoog, Sequential Prophet, Roland TB-303, Roland Juno 60, Fender Rhodes or Hammond B3. I decided to recreate them with one of my favorite synthesizers. I really like Access Virus TI for its functionality and sound. With this soundset, you can take your instrument to the next level. Check out my soundset: https://bit.ly/virusclassic"

SOLTON PROGRAMMER 24 / SOLTON PROJECT 100

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"Italo Disco Machines?
Not false - but these two hotties offer a bit more than that.
Launched around the same time in the mid-80s, none of them caused much stir but at least the Programmer 24 was exported widely and they pop up on the market even in the US.
Overrun by sleeker Japanese machines, most Solton units probably seemed a bit dated at the moment of their release but re-adjusting the rearview mirror a bit we think they sound pretty great.
The Solton Programmer 24 is the obvious song writing tool while the Project 100 adds the depth and richness in sound that the former machine lacks.
For effects we're using the Schulte Compact Phasing, the digital delay unit Vermona DEG-50 and the mini rack multi-effect LEM FX22.
We'll be exploring the Solton Programmer 24 and Solton Project 100 further so stick around.

Vintage Audio Institute is a gear vendor and recording facility in Florence Italy."
