Tonnetz Sequent as a Modulation Source
Published on Oct 27, 2015 noisythang
"I am old. My hand shakes, my vision blurs. Sorry.
What is this Tonnetz? It generates triads rotating through a triadic space.
But are these not just voltages? Can’t we use these voltage patterns in ways other than pitch? Voltages that rotate? Let’s try a little rotation.
Maybe a little spreading. Is there a repeating pattern? In the end we use one for pitch.
Tonnetz Sequent clocked by Circuit Abby G8
4ms rotating filter kicked by a couple of triggers.
Tonnetz controlling rotation, spread and frequency."

Quick Takes with MST
Published on Feb 23, 2015 noisythang

"Had the loan of some MST modules, spent an afternoon making some basic sounds and overdubbing this little silly bit. I hear George likes melodic stuff, so this has some silly melodies. Really like all this gear, lot's of function in a small package, lot's of modulation and sounds great too.
Plus, kits.. The inverted/offset output on the envelopes is nice."

OR Combinator - Synthrotek
Published on May 22, 2014 noisythang·33 videos
"Sometimes a device can inspire a piece. A quick tune using the Synthrotek OR Combinor to combine many, many things. Lot's o'fun. The OR Combiner is eight four-input OR circuits. It's passive. So, what can one do with 8 gates?"

Synthrotek - 8 Step Sequencer Demo
Published on May 15, 2014 noisythang·33 videos
"All drums sounds from Tiptop modules, with some flavoring. The kick and snare are from other sequencers, the gates on the Sequence 8 are used for the hihat pattern. I set the sequence to 7 steps for some added interest, then I use the CV output to mod the hihat sound a bit. The 8 step also has a very interesting random mode which appears at the end. A fun little unit. I built mine from a kit, so the LEDs are non-standard. :)"
