121416 - Ambient Drone Synth Filter Improv - Odyssey/JP-08/TS305

Published on Feb 28, 2017

"I wanted to get to know the filters in my JP-08 and Odyssey, and this is how I did it; an ambient, droning improv jam.

Spend 6 minutes and 13 seconds flying, driving, hiking, walking, climbing, and biking, get nowhere, get lost, and ultimately end up exactly where you started.

Synths - Roland Boutique JP-08, (K)Arp Odyssey module
Percussion - Tama Techstar TS305
Synth (MIDI) and percussion (CV gate) sequencer - Arturia BeatStep Pro
Mixed on Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 with a little reverb on the mix, sent out the headphone out, directly to GoPro Hero 2, cheesy video editing provided by iMovie on my iPhone 7s Plus. One take, live, no overdubs or post-production of any sort."
