"How is this even possible? The sounds of 80’s new wave, techno, dance and electronic in drum kit form all in their original boxes. 😱
Vintage 1980’s Tama Techstar analog drum synthesizer system.
Complete TS-500 drum kit/pads, TS-305 6 voice analog synthesizer, and I do have TDA-60 amplifier available but not included in this auction.
A rare opportunity to own a distinct analog sound that’s totally functional and complete. In most other cases, these would be highly used and abused.
Per the previous owner, these sat in the boxes for the past couple decades. In excellent condition and don’t look to have much heavy play time if any at all.
Check out the video but keep in mind I’m not a drummer! But you can be, with headphones too! 😎
These are vintage and like all vintage gear expect some wear and scuffs associated with age."

"Very rare/ Uncommon early-80s drum synth capable of some wild sounds from full-bodied electronic throbs to wild space-age squeaks and bleeps.
Made famous by Joy Division on their Unknown Pleasures album by producer Martin Hannett who used it as part of the wild industrial sound on the album. New Order also made use of these unusual machines.
Features two analogue oscillators with sensitivity, sweep range, sweep time, decay time, volume controls and a pickup input for each oscillator.
The envelope depends on the input source like an envelope follower.
Great for booming kicks and toms, all the way to sweeping laser blasts.
Sounds can be triggered by microphone/pickup or synth gate/trigger.

"This is the 80's Tama Techstar TAM500, Tama's answer to the Simmons (most similar to the Simmons SDS8 in function and form factor). This unit is in good cosmetic shape with just a few scratches (mainly the one in the final picture seen above). Functionally, it all works, except the Attack sound (short adjustable burst of noise at the top of the note) does not fire on Tom 3... the Attack works fine on all other drum channels. Other than that, it is fully tested and functional."
"Just got this Tama Techstar TSQ1000 drum trigger. Bought it at an auction, and it wasn't guaranteed to work. Seems to work nicely though. Here triggering my Pearl DRX-1 synth drums."
