Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A custom Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 Rev 3.2 modified into a rack with MIDI by Studio Electronics, the P-Five. Before they made their own synths, they modified classics like the Minimoog into the Midimini, the Oberheim OB-8 into the OBie-Eight, and the Prophet-5 into the P-Five. The P-Five appears to be the rarest of the three followed by the OBie-Eight, followed by the Midimini - at least as far as they come up for sale.
"Studio Electronics P-Five rev3.2 (Prophet 5)This is a rack mount Prophet 5. Original Prophet 5 boards inside, just plug in your own MIDI keyboard and you're in business. Studio Electronics have only added the MIDI functionality and updated the power supply.
This unit is fully functioning. All controls and dials have been tested and it has just been serviced. There is a few small scratches on the front and back panel, however as you can see from the photos the inside is in excellent condition. Despite being in a rack case, this unit has never been toured.
Power is 240v-110v switching, so no step downs or transformers are required.
Comes with very sturdy and padded rack case, so it's ready for any transport or studio needs."
