3D Waves NanoBod for the Arturia MicroFreak
A couple of pics in via Larry Kleinke aka Computer Controlled.
The 3D Waves NanoBod is a custom replacement case for the MicroFreak minus keys. You can find them on Reverb here. Below are some pics from the listing.
"Finally, someone has made a synthesizer with a keybed that we didn't have to chop in half in order to turn it into a module. Arturia did something really clever by making the module on the MicroFreak removable, all you have to do is unscrew 8 screws from the bottom the body.
The only downside to removing the keyboard is that the electronics are exposed and the PCB board serves as the base. That's where the Nano Bod comes in. Using the 8 screws from before, the Nano Bod attaches to your MicroFreak which will help keep dust out and provide a solid footing for your new module.
High quality 3D printed module body
Designed specifically for the Arturia MicroFreak
Recessed holes for rubber feet
Webbed design for added strength and a unique look"

But one also loses all the touch controls above the keyboard including the modulation ribbon. Good idea but a bit half fast.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have solid power, the MF doesn't work with the keyboard properly due to the electronics needed for the touch capacitive keyboard. Because of this, i couldn't use the keyboard at all as it would cause the unit to glitch out. So the KB was useless to me and was just taking up space. So this is the perfect solution.
ReplyDeleteHi, where and how can I get this (or just the file to print it myself)? Listing seems to be down on Reverb
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot
