Dub Techno with FM Synthesis on a Game Boy Advance | Peak 2026-07-04 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A live dub techno jam built around a Game Boy Advance running FMS — a groovebox by Lo-Bit Club that runs real-time 2-OP FM synthesis natively on the GBA. The sequence and FM sounds you hear from the GBA are all generated on the handheld itself. The @rolandglobal TR-08 and @MoogSynthesizers Subharmonicon are synced via the MSY2. The TR-08 runs through a @strymon blueSky reverb, while the Subharmonicon is tweaked in real time through the Strymon TIMELINE delay. The OP-1 field loops reverb-soaked chords, and the @ChaseBliss MOOD MKII layers evolving micro-loops on top.
Gear used:
・Game Boy Advance + FMS ( https://lobit-club.itch.io/fms )
・Moog Subharmonicon
・Roland TR-08 → Strymon blueSky
・Strymon TIMELINE
・Teenage Engineering OP-1 field
・Chase Bliss MOOD MKII
・Kenton MSY2 (sync)
