Luke Million Studio Tour Update July 2025
video upload by Luke Million
"Following the Studio Tour Video I made last November, here is an update with recent acquisitions and changes to my workflow in my Studio.
Some highlights are the Moog Messenger, Arturia DrumBrute Impact 1984 Edition, Synido TempoPAD C16, Aly James Lab Vprom 3.0, Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro, Modartt Pianoteq 8 and some Franklin Audio Devices.
The biggest change is in my 2nd Studio where the B Team is kept. I have connected those synths to a Franklin Audio SS-6 Switchable Input Stereo DI which then sends audio to my Universal Audio Volt 476 interface connected to a Macbook Pro Laptop.
You can view the original Studio Tour Video here -"

Minimal Ambient w/ norns shield & LYRA-8 | Cloudburst 2025-07-11 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A minimal-ambient piece for norns shield and @somasynths LYRA-8, built from slowly evolving phrases and drones.
norns shield: Runs awake; phrases are altered live with a monome grid. The output goes through a @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II for reverb, and near the end a micro-loop creates a dense cluster of tones.
LYRA-8: Plays drones and short phrases. Its signal is modulated with a BOSS CE-5 chorus, then processed by @strymon NIGHTSKY for filtering and reverb."

video upload by atnr
"A crossover track featuring Rhodes MK2, @NordKeyboards Nord Lead, @SequentialLLC Prophet-10, and @MoogSynthesizers Grandmother, where breakbeats intertwine with electric-piano and synth lines.
Rhodes MK2: Runs through a @BOSSinfoglobal BOSS CE-5 chorus, then the @ChaseBlissAudio GENERATIONcha LOSS MK II for tape-style lo-fi warmth.
Nord Lead: Plays the main synth lead, treated with reverb from @gfisys Specular Tempus.
Prophet-10: Swaps patches on the fly, adding abstract synth textures and additional leads.
Grandmother: Handles the bass line."

Boss DR-55 Dr. Rhythm w/ original box, manual, stickers
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this Reverb listing
"BOSS DR-55 Dr. Rhythm is a classic drum machine released in 1979, known for its simplicity and distinctive analog drum sounds. It features four drum sounds (bass drum, snare drum, hi-hat, and rimshot) and allows users to program their own rhythms.
This is really close to mint condition and It appears all accessories comes from over 40 years old. The accessories are original box, BOSS sticker, warranty, functional explanation sticker to be attached to the back side of the main unit ( not used! ), BOSS Product Catalog.
The unit, of course, works perfectly and is very clean with a few unnoticeable chip scratches."

PlantsSystem-Diminish
video upload by plantssystem
"Precise and organic. PlantsSystem latest track, 'Diminish' is an ambitious work that uses the rough texture of analog equipment from the 70s and 80s to create a futuristic sound image.
The dry and sharp rhythm of the BOSS Dr.55 is impressive for its inorganic hardness while maintaining the precision of a metronome. Layered on top of that is the swell and spread of the sound of the Sequential Prophet-5. The filter changes and modulation movements create gentle ripples in the space. And the Yamaha CS-10 gives the low range a strong outline, firmly supporting the whole.
'Diminish' is not just a retro nostalgia hobby. It combines the rawness of analog equipment with modern architectural beauty to present a soundscape that transcends the time axis. The noise and fluctuations that suddenly appear in the meticulous construction are like the sound of a plant growing picked up by a microphone. As befits the name PlantsSystem, this is a musical experience that shakes up the boundaries between artificial and natural. #dr55 #prophet5 #cs10"

Moog Subharmonicon + Boss DM101 // Analog does it better.
video upload by Dexba
"Moog, Roland: YES, please, more of THIS.
Blablabla limitations, blablabla the future.
I – DON'T – CARE. This sounds so good, it reminds me of the amazing Matriarch, which has the gorgeous delay built in, and that characterful Moog sound. Boy, I miss that keyboard.
Anyway, this is why I fiddle with hardware synthesizers: living these moments of bliss when everything aligns, the chord strikes perfectly and the BBD provide you with that nostalgia of times and places you've never visited. Lovely.
I hope you'll get to experience the same, both here watching this video and in your sonic explorations!"

David Lynch's Synth Gear Up for Auction
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
Apprenlty JULIEN*S auction house is auctioning off David Lynch's belongings.

Among the items you will some of studio equipment including the synths pictured here. It's interesting to see the gear he used. The Roland MKS-70 (JX10/JX-8P) used on Twin Peaks is not listed as I believe it was owned and by Angelo Badalamenti, not Lynch. I included his portable audio recording equipment, not as a synth, but as a possible sample source. Unfortunately the listing does not mention if there are any recordings present in them so keep that in mind if you bid. It would be a shame if they were removed.
Most of the items mention they were "owned and used by David Lynch in his personal recording studio."
Images in this post were captured in the order listed for each listing.
E-Mu Systems E III Model 6083 SN 02200324
Korg microX SN 003322 & Yamaha Motif 7 SN 1001208
Korg KAOS Pad KP3 SN 057331 & Kaossilator SN 080602
"Dumbland" Boss VT-1 Voice Transformer with Box Set and Studio-Used Microphones
Stylophone Pocket Synthesizer
Lot of Three Synthesizers: Alesis Nanosynth, Gakken SX-150 Mark II, Roland JV-1010 SN BN26304
Roland SPD-20 Sampling Pad SN FV41503
Portable Audio Recording Equipment - not a synth, but you have to wonder what recordings, if any, may be preserved for sample sources.

BOSS RV-200 Reverb Demo (no talking) with OB-6 Synth: A budget friendly reverb for live performer
video upload by Limbic Bits
"In this video, we’re diving into the BOSS RV-200 Reverb—a budget-friendly pedal that offers a variety of reverb algorithms with solid overall sound quality. It pairs well with synths and features a user-friendly interface, with just enough controls to make it suitable for live performances.
While it may not have the distinct character of pedals like the Strymon BigSky or the UAFX Golden Reverberator, it’s a reliable choice when you need spatial effects that complement the sound rather than dominate it. This would be my recommendation for those searching for a pedal for live use whenever they need an affordable, easy-to-use option with dependable sound quality."

4:20 Rave Lead - Modulation
5:08 Autumn Lead - Slow Reverb
6:12 IDM Dream Lead - LoFi
