Superbooth 2023: Mad Sound Factory - Kommutator - Midiator - Clocker

video upload by sonicstate

"At Superbooth 2023, we spoke to Art from Mad Sound Factory, a new company from Armenia, about their latest products. Art introduced us to the Kommutator, which allows you to connect everything together, using alligator clips banana plugs, Euro rack a or Bastl instruments type, creating a big matrix of connections. It comes with switches that determine where the connections run, making it an ideal tool for modular enthusiasts.

Art also showcased the Midiator, a device that works perfectly with Soma's Ornament 8. It allows you to assign MIDI data to knobs by making a snapshot of the MIDI you're receiving. You can send different MIDI notes to different channels, sequencing it with Ornament to use it as a MIDI sequencer for all kinds of MIDI gear. The Mediator is equipped with alligator clip connections and is not powered passively. It requires 12 volts to operate and will be available soon, along with the Utilities.

Kommutator price: 150 Euros
