"Mosely Instruments 'Cosmopolitan' dual phase distortion oscillator for Eurorack modular. 3 simple live jam/performance recordings, no overdubbing.
Track one Intro is the Radio Music module through a Frequency Central phaser. Each of the two Cosmopolitan oscillators are controlled independently by a MIDI sequencer (Genome on iPad), Triangle Sine and Resonant Triangle wave shapes are modulated, as is the pitch of the latter. No filters are used on the Cosmopolitan, just some reverb. Video footage of San Francisco is part 3 of last year's USA tour video (more to follow).
Track 2 uses the Make Noise Pressure Points to control both oscillators, which are being processed by the AJH Ladder Filter (cutoff only, no resonance) and VCA. The latter two modules are modulated by the WMD/SSF Spectrum (LFO mode), Frequency Central Wave Runner LFO (sample & hold mode), System X envelope, and AJH Dual Contour Generator. Finally, analog delay is added to the output using the Synthrotek DLY.
Track 3 uses just a little bit of filtering from the AJH filter again (75% cutoff only) and the two Cosmopolitan voices are set up like a 2-voice polyphonic synth, with true polyphony of the two oscillators at 11:08 by use of the 2HP dual VCA (hear the overlapping notes). "Intellijel Plonk & Moseley Instruments Cosmopolitan Eurorack modules. A very simple composition, played manually over a click, and recorded over two tracks using AUM on an iPad. Reverb from Audio Damage's EOS2. No filter resonance is used on the Cosmopolitan, it's purely from the resonant waves in the module itself.
