Juzisound Total SOLO Sampler for East European Balkan Regions

Another interesting item spotted by swissdoc.

via Juzisound:

"Small and powerful sampler device specialized for playing ethno solo sounds. This device is specially created to use in East European Balkan regions. Also is very useful for musicians from Turkey, Greece, Arab or Middle East regions. If you play that kind of music, this device is best for you!"

Unlimited Sample Memory

Yes - Really unlimited sample memory! This device is created with new technology and new conception! Juzisound Total SOLO Sampler don`t use RAM memory for loading samples. All samples are played in True Real Time DIRECTLY from an SD Card! This new technology allows using extremely massive sample libraries. The size of the sample is limited only by the size of the SD Card in use. For the time being, the sampler accept SD cards with capacity up to 64GB, but there will be no problem in future to add support for newest and biggest SD cards.

Portamento / Oscillator Modes

In this device Juzisound implements many types of specialized Oscillator Modes, specially created for use in Ethno solo music. Many types of Portamento with full set of parameters are supported, including very popular Yamaha DX, Casio CZ, KORG and original and very useful JS and JS2 portamento. This JS and JS2 portamento have special technology for smooth sample to sample transition, and this kind of portamento is not available in any other hardware keyboards. Additionally to portamento modes, the sampler has many special oscillator engines (combination between specially prepared samples and additional software processing), specialized for playing Saxophones, Clarinets, Solo String instruments, Bouzoukis and many more.

OlllAudio-Minimoog Filter/ARP 4075 Filter - unboxing Eurorack modules

Published on Nov 29, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Today, the mail surprised us and provided an amazing delivery from OlllAudio Eurorack Modules straight from Saint Petersburg from Russia.

We are very happy because there were 4 amazing modules inside of which two of them are filters based on great vintage equipment and just one on Minimoog which is famous analog filter for modular synthesizers, the scheme was created in the 70s by Robert Arthur Moog, and the other one, filter based on ARP 4075 and this is a replica of the famous ARP Filter schematic with styroflex capacitors and main-chip which has been maked in 80-s. Both filters are provided for the creation of 'Very Fat specific sound', additionally there is one here module Ring modulation -At the heart of device is the strong transistor schematic which have maximum analogue sound ,and one multiple which of course, will always increase our eurorack system for multi conections and more combine modulation.
we opened the package from OlllAudio Eurorack Modules and today we have a small movie showing these modules and a small filtering Filter based on the classic Minimoog from the 70s.

As you can see, the sound is fat, but it's the beginning, because it's a small unpacking with a sound demo. We have already checked the ARP 4075 Filter and it's definitely awesome.

OIIIAudio certainly has a strong and thick analog sound and only classic Vintage equipment.

It is also worth checking the sale which is on a few selected modules on the official website

Mrseri uO_c Micro Ornament & Crime

Published on Nov 26, 2018 Perfect Circuit

"The mrseri uO_c is a micro 8hp version of the Ornament & Crime multi function module. This module has many modes including sequencers, shift registers, quantizers, envelope generators and more. We used four of the modes in this video.

The Intellijel Planar is used for sequencing, the Dixie II and Rubicon 2 as oscillators, for filters we used the Morgasmatron and Joranalogue Filter 8, and the Strymon Magneto adds delay and reverb.

uO_c available here: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/mrseri..."

"The mrseri uO_c is a compact, and stylish take on the open-source Ornament & Crime multi-function module. Using just four trigger/gate inputs, four CV inputs, two encoders and menu up/down buttons, the uO_c accomplishes a huge number of complex modulation tasks. Using its simple menu, a user can easily get the uO_c to function as a quantized shift register, quad envelope generator, quadrature LFO, quad 16-step sequencer, chord sequencer, and even an 8-bit sound source! From a utility standpoint, the uO_c is also invaluable for its precision voltage generation mode, which is essential when calibrating other modules. Ornament & Crime truly is a module which amplifies the capabilities of every module around it, leaving many users to wonder how they ever patched without one.

Tokyo Tape Music Center Dual Sine/Sawtooth Generator Model 158 - Buchla 100 Eurorack Module

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

Tokyo Tape Music Center is a play on the San Francisco Tape Music Center. This is the first one featured on the site.

"Tokyo Tape Music Center - Dual Sine/Sawtooth Generator Model 158 - Buchla 100 eurorack style. Factory build, not DIY.

Excellent dual oscillator, captures the 100 sound. Waveshape & FM on each oscillator. Runs at Buchla's standard 1.2v/Oct, unlike the majority of euro modules. It's easy to convert incoming voltage to this standard with Disting, Synovatron interface, or Ornament & Crime. External control does require a voltage offset, just like the 100 series did. TTMS makes a version of the 156 voltage processor, or you can use any other processor with offset.

The Tokyo Tape Music Center stuff is beautiful and well built. You won't be disappointed. This one didn't fit into my workflow like I'd hoped, but I'm sad to let it go."

Silicon Labs MusicKeyboard-EK

Here's an odd find sent in via MATRIXSYNTH reader Kaden who had the following to say about it:

"This isn't really a synth... more of a controller development toolkit apparently, but by far, it's weird. It's a Silicon Labs QuickSense Music Keyboard with accompanying Toolstick [USB] dongle. Aside from the descriptive PDF I've attached, there's no information whatsoever available about it; the silab.com site has been wiped clean of all mention, and there's no sign of the requisite software package *anywhere*.

Capacitive keyboard, and the graphics seem to indicate 12 buttons, a slider, and a rotary controller, all capacitive, with a few position indicator leds scattered about, all in a USB powered package about 1/8" thick. I plugged it in and it lights up, but I can't be arsed figuring out how to access it without the dedicated software.

I pulled this out of a gaylord full of scrap salvaged from a company that manufactures radar detectors; I guess one of the R&D grunts there dabbled in music software development."

You can find screenshots of the complete PDF here in this post. The following is from page 4:

"The Music Keyboard application plays musical notes and other sounds whenever a user presses a capacitive sensing key on the Music Keyboard. Figure 4 shows an example of the Music Keyboard application when connected to a Music Keyboard EK. To connect the Music Keyboard to the application, follow these instructions.

1. Run the Music Keyboard application, which is found by clicking StartSilicon LaboratoriesMusic Keyboard App.
2. Click OptionsKeyboard Input... and select the connected Toolstick Base Adapter from the list. The ToolStick Base Adapter will be a device on the list that begins with the letters “TS”.

For detailed instructions describing how to use Music Keyboard Application, see the application’s Help documentation
Note: The Music Keyboard Application uses MIDI sound information that is included with a PC’s sound card. To hear notes when keys are pressed, the PC being used must have the capability of playing MIDI sounds, and the audio must be enabled and audible."

Midilar & VCV Rack - First Patch

Published on Nov 5, 2018 Omri Cohen

"A few days ago I got a prototype of Midilar, a modular MIDI controller. You can switch between modules and customize it, and it can control anything that can be controlled by MIDI, like DAWs, Soft Synths, and Hardware. This video is my first patch with it using VCV Rack, and I'm controlling Plaits (Macro Oscillator 2) and Grids (Topograph) from Mutable Instruments, Plateau from Valley, Trummor 2 and Tangents from Vult, and the Delay from AS.
I have it assigned to various parameters in VCV Rack, and I'm playing everything live.
