Why VEGA?

Here at FASELUNARE (Moon-phase in English), we have a passion for space and sci-fi, Francesco's Stage name has always been Urbanspaceman and together with Daniele he played and released some records as the "Space Aliens From Outer Space".

So that's why our projects have names inspired by science and science fiction!

If you look at an image of the Lyra constellation, you will notice that the 4 buttons of our module are positioned exactly like the 4 stars: Vega (α Lyrae, the brightest), γ Lyrae, β Lyrae and δ Lyrae."

"Abbiamo avuto per qualche giorno in studio questo piccolo gioiellino di Error Instruments, un generatore di Droni con una parte dedicata ai patch cables, un micro-modulare dalle sonorità e dalle caratteristiche molto intriganti.

Lo abbiamo unito ad un Grayscale Microcell (clone Mutable Instruments Clouds), un Jomox ModBase MK2 per il suono di kick (lo vedremo in una prossima recensione in modo dettagliato) e al prototipo (finale finalmente) del Vega di Faselunare. Tutte le ritmiche (escluso il kick) sono opera del Vega. Il tutto controllato da una sempre valida Beatstep Pro. (ci sono anche un MatrixMixer e un paio di delay)

Mentre guardi e ascolti il video (ti consiglio le cuffie oppure un impianto generoso sui bassi)."

"We had for a few days in the studio this little gem of Error Instruments, a Drone generator with a part dedicated to patch cables, a micro-modular with very intriguing sounds and characteristics.

New Shapeshifter DIY Open Source Drummachine by Faselunare

"Shapeshifter is an Open Source Drummachine by Faselunare.com. At his core there is the powerful Teensy 3.6 board.

"SHAPESHIFTER is a mouldable DIY Drum Machine with the powerful Teensy development board at his CORE. The name SHAPESHIFTER was given for its open source nature that is always evolving and changing.

With the basic firmware, the drum feature 4 drum voices with sixteen different samples for each voice, independent pattern length, each drum voice can change pattern between four patterns, low pass filter knob, BPM knob and bitcrusher knob.

EXPANDABLE, OPEN SOURCE AND OPEN HARDWARE
As it is an Open Source and Open Hardware project, everyone can edit the code, experimenting with the onboard breadboard and build their own expansion boards.

COMING SOON - SHAPESHIFTER will be sold in kit, with all the components necessary for its assembly (excluding the Teensy 3.6 which must be purchased separately). A support forum will be launched to encourage users to develop new features, new expansions and share them with the community.
