Seak ADM-5 . Czechoslovak analog drum modul.

Published on Nov 9, 2019 Cyril Metodey

This is the first Seak ADM-5 to be featured on the site. Be sure to check out the New Old label for more.

"Pure analog drum machine. Made in Slovakia (1989-1990) Some potentiometers are not clean yet, needs some maintenance, but sounds great...
I recommend using headphones=pan knobs :)

I trigger only 4 channels here (Snare, Kick, Tom3 and 4,), one pair is panned stereo jack from sequencer app in phone, and second pair is stereo jack from fruity loops, also panned."

Bohm Diamant 450 CT German Made Custom Organ w/ MIDI

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"Bohm Diamant 450 CT. Custom made in Germany, very cool and very high end organ, with vast capabilities. Organ is sold as-is, in untested condition. It has spent a little bit of time being stored outside, and exposed to the elements, so buyer beware. To the best of my knowledge, and from what I was told when I acquired it, the organ does power on when plugged in, however I myself have not tested it. Organ includes the base, with pedal, two chrome risers which bolt to the base, and the organ sets on top of them, and the bench, which appears to also bolt up to the base, and is height adjustable. I can’t find much on this particular model, though it seems that it is the “top shelf” model in the diamant series. All info. Can really find is 99% in German, and so is not much help to me as far as researching goes. I did however find a SIMILAR Bohm Diamant 450CT for sale on the German eBay, asking 4,550 euros (about $5,040) of course in good to excellent, playing condition. Mine here, is definitely in need of some love to get it back to where it should be, and playing wonderfully, but it would make for a great project for someone who knows and appreciates these high end German made organs."

Teisco String Ensemble SN T-6591

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"Very rare Teisco string synth, poor mans Solina string?. Does appear to work on all sounds but the tuning potentiometer has broken off. Has been unused for many years so needs all the controls cleaning as they crackle. The wooden sides are tatty as shown."

I believe this is the first Teisco String synth featured on the site. Check out the New Old label for additional rare vintage synths featured on the site for the first time.

Rare Vintage Moog 981 Mixer Module from 1967

This one is in via Thesis Audio Service who had the following to say:

"I came across this very rare module in a 1968 Moog IIIp that we are restoring for a client. It is a model 981 four channel mixer which I can find very little info about. It appears in the classic Wendy Carlos modular picture and in some Max Brand pictures. There is no mention of it in any of my Moog archive literature or service documents. I have included the schematic that I derived from it. It is an AC coupled mixer for audio. All of the IIIp system pictures that you find show a multiple panel in it's location in the system. The IIIp that we have is dated 1968, but this module is dated 1967. It's a bit of a Moog unicorn, possibly built by the master's hands himself."

I believe this is the first Moog Model 981 module to be featured on the site. You can see the Model number designated as 981 in the image below. The serial number is 1002 and the date is NOV 10 1967. R.A. MOOG CO. TRUMANSBURG N.Y. is on the label. You can find a circuit diagram below as well.

Thesis Audio Service also sent in the rare Moog Model 903 White Sound Source posted here.

Rare JEN J-880 SUPERSTRINGER

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

I believe this is the first post to feature the JEN J-880. Another rare previously unknown synth for the site. Be sure to see the New Old label at the bottom of this post for more.

"Here is a very hard to come by JEN J-880 Superstringer string machine .

Basically it's a ARP/Eminent Solina String Ensemble clone.
It features 3 sections with independent volume sliders: Bass / Strings / Brass
It also allows you control over the attack and release part of the string section ("crescendo" and "sustain" sliders).
It further has a switchable vibrato with intensity, speed and delay controls.
And finally you have a "solo" function that turns the typical heavy ensemble BBD effect off. (but it still leaves a light phaser/flanger effect to the soune).

Condition is quite good. Some scuffs but nothing bad, check pictures.
Everything works as it should and it sounds great. Very close to the original Solina.
The only issue is the "viola" knob being a bit temporamental, it sometimes don't want to stay on. But it works. The issue is only mechanical. It's an easy fix i'm sure but I didn't want to open the unit, and to be honnest, the viola switch is almost alwaus on."

Elektronika EM 02 Vintage Soviet Analog Synthesizer

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

Note this is the first post to feature the Elektronika EM-02. No demos on YouTube and it's not listed on http://ruskeys.net. If anyone knows more about this instrument, feel free to comment. Update: You can find a video demo of one here. Definitely more organ sounding than synth.

Check out that front panel editor.  Wish there was a close-up and centered shot of it.

Add this one to the New Old label. BTW, that is the label to check out for the odd and rare synths in history. They are synths that have never been featured on the site until then.

Custom Prototype Synth Minim00g 1975

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"What you are looking at is a 100% analog prototype synth professionally built by a tech in the 70s who went on to building aircraft for Hawker Siddeley. The prototype was finished in the summer of 1975. The synth side is complete, really unique looking too. Reminds me more of a Sonic Six but does sound very close to the Minimoog. This synth is clearly based on the later. The keys feel nice to play and are in good condition. All knobs and switches are still intact. I had a tech look at it and they found some faults but does not stop this things power! It's a huge sound! E-Mail me if you want some sound examples. The tech upgraded the PSU with new kettle lead input and caps, cost £120 alone. He advised me not to go further with repairs so to keep it's originality. All that was done extra was fixing low output. But is easy to service if you want it done.

The faults found: Osc. 2 waveshape knob not working on wide and narrow rectangle waveforms. However on Osc. 3 they work just fine. Faulty knob on Osc. 2 no doubt.

Please note this is not a fault but; the drum module was never made for it which was a board that slots inside. All the electronics inside were built for the drum module but the board itself was never completed. You could perhaps have a board custom made if you want the drum section. The last lower 5 keys were assigned for this task so do not sound.

I had the synth up for sale before but decided to get some service done to help preserve it. They don't make 'em like this anymore! Full of top quality components unlike new Chinese toys. I've been as honest as I can be with this listing. I am an established musician and not a dealer. Local pickup is also welcome. Courier will be over £20 for full insurance. Worldwide shipping available but at new owners risk. Insurance a must! You also accept in the terms of this sale that the synth does require further servicing and is sold as non-working because of OSC. 2 knob fault. Rest of the synth is working sounds like a monster! It's easily worth over 2k for something like this. To have a custom built one now would run you near 5k easy. I'm in no rush to sell so please sensible offers only (ovno)"
