Ouroboros Lumen Spatial Voices • Gestural Synthesizer Demo

Ouroboros Electronics

"Lumen Spatial Voices:
The third instrument the Lumen series of one-off gestural synthesizers.
This one is the most complex of the three - consisting of two individual triangle wave oscillators which are panned hard left and hard right in the stereo field while in their default states. The knobs adjust the base frequencies of the oscillators, and the sensors control the rate at which they are gated and step through individual two-tone intervals. The three switches cross-modulate and affect the two voices in different ways via frequency modulation, timbre modulation, and overdrive while also drastically changing their relative positions in the stereo field. Percussive transients, stepped tones, stereo ripples, and complex modulation from chaotic and noisey to soft and subtle. A compact and expressive instrument for performance techniques and experimental sonics in the vein of west coast synthesis. A demo video is now up on Youtube. It is powered by a 9v battery, and the enclosure is made from Purpleheart and finished in boiled linseed oil with a powder coated steel bottom piece. This instrument is now available for $200 + $15 shipping within the US. To order: email ouroboros.electronics.us@gmail.com"

Tube by Sinevibes - Korg multi engine plugin

Published on May 8, 2019 Sinevibes

"Tube is an oscillator plugin for Korg’s multi engine. It couples a super-flexible noise generator with a feed-forward comb filter, a combination that we call “resonator modeling synthesis”. By modulating the noise density, the noise generator can create a very wide variety of signals such as bursts, gusts of air or sand, scratching, particles dropping onto a surface – and beyond. When these special signals are used to “excite” the resonator, Tube produces incredibly lively, nature-like tones: from woodwinds, plucked and bowed strings, to much more experimental, randomly evolving ones. Tube also features its own low-frequency oscillator, an envelope generator, and allows its noise signal to be used dry for even more sound design possibilities.

Totoro synth prototype wiggling

Published on Feb 12, 2018 ktozjadlciastka

"This is not a demo. It is a recording from a debugging session of my new synth. Some sounds can be really nasty!

A few words about Totoro:
- 1x advanced generator: audio/LFO rates, square/saw/triangle waves, target - filter input or filter cutoff,
- 1x simple generator: audio rate squarewave, simple tuned keyboard with 3 buttons,
- 1x VCF - with 2 resonance settings and cutoff CV,
- generators balance control.

Device uses only 1 quad opamp and considering its simplicity, sounds great! More info avaliable soon @ syntherjack.net"

Never Ending Noise Sample Pack by Outsider Sound Design

Published on Dec 18, 2017 Outsider Sound Design

via Outsider Sound Design

"The Never Ending Noise sample pack was created using twelve unique hardware setups with the full intention of harvesting harsh noise, granular static, buzzes, drones, alien transmissions, and melting circuits. 472 sound files. Over 3.4GB of content. 24 bit 96k sample rate. This sample pack was created using over 70 different hardware devices and guitar effects pedals. Using hardware samplers, we fed in sounds that were created by transforming images of 13 famous abstract expressionist paintings into audio files and then further deconstructed them. Yes, we went all the way with this one.

Esoteric by design, there are so many distinct ways these sounds can be incorporated into your music productions or media projects. We hope this sound pack offers you unlimited inspiration."
