Isobutane (meets Polyend Tracker) - Fifuci

Polyend

"I was trying out a sample of my cat and some other guitar stuff I was recording earlier and this is basically it being tweaked live in the Performance mode.

My name is Martin but everybody calls me Iso. I'm based in Bratislava and been making music since I have discovered a program called Music on one of those old PlayStation 1 demo discs in 1999. Started to play live under the moniker Isobutane sometime in 2006 and have been pretty active since.

When I bought the Polyend Tracker, I was just curious. What really happened when I got it was beyond anything I was expecting. I really mean it. I realized that throughout the years I became very ignorant about the best thing when making music – the process of making itself. With all these music jobs I had, I teach myself to work quickly and effectively and absolutely forgot about how good the process of making a track really feels. The Tracker brought this back, slowed me down a bit, make me learn, make me think of composing and sound design and actually brought a huge chunk of fun and passion to the game. So thank you for making it, it is certainly a machine that brought a new fresh chunk of enjoyment to what I love the most." ❤️

Isobutane - Remember Me (2006)

video upload by Isobutane

"There were times when my only piece of equipment was the Yamaha RM1x. While going through some old floppy discs I’ve came across some really old tracks from around 2005-2007. I was surprised how playful and full of energy these are. Technically and soundwise they are all pretty funky but I was really stunned by the liveliness of these old projects. So I’m like…yeah let’s share em. Maybe some people will even remember some of these from the past live shows. Shees that was ages ago… Ok, let’s go. 6/7

This is called Remember Me and it was made in 2006."

This one is called Fogfields and it was made in 2006. Back in the day, I used to play this one live a lot. The beat is an Aphex Twin ripoff...well kind of. The kick and zap sounds are taken directly from a track called Isoprophlex and are included within the RM1x sound bank. He mentioned Yamaha sampling these sounds for this machine in one of his interviews. Enjoy."
