Skiff 1.3 for the M-VAVE FM-1: two cores, 12 voices, MIDI LEARN (what's new)
video upload by Skiff
You can find the M-VAVE FM-1 on Amazon.
Update: new videos added below.
"Skiff 1.3 is out: free, open-source firmware that turns the M-VAVE FM-1 into a six-track groovebox. This video shows what's new in 1.3, set to one song made on it: the FM-1's second core (BETA: 12 voices at once instead of 8), MIDI LEARN and a MIDI channel per track, an INSERT effect on every track, LFO sync, and more from Felucca 1.2 to 1.6.1.
Everything you hear is Skiff 1.3's own code playing that song: the firmware's source, run on a computer so the sound and the screens line up to the frame. Every sound comes from its engines, and every knob turn, mute, MIDI message and effect shown is performed in the firmware. Nothing was added afterwards; only the overall level was set. Every FM-1 screen shown is Skiff's own display, not a mock-up; the MIDI controller is a drawing of the messages the firmware received. A computer has no FM-1 second core, so the run renders those tracks itself with the two-core voice budget; Skiff's tests show the sound is bit for bit the same either way. The CPU figure on screen (60–63 %) was measured on an FM-1 playing six such tracks.

XenoMorph II - MakeNoise Polymorphism with NUSS and Morphagene
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Five years ago, I already played with the idea of expanding the Morphagene into a shapeshifting creature. I used two Phonogenes to process the Morph's L and R outputs, inspired by a lo-fi Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus. It was a fun experiment. This Xenomorph is different, a worthy V2. It's a custom 104 HP system I designed as a synth I did not know how to make:
Morphagene
Mult
MultiMod
PoliMaths
QXG x 2
X-PAN
Mimeophon
When used in a skiff, X-PAN is replaced by X-OH (output) and a mult. If you have stackables, you can even use the new GTE. The idea is to bring the stereo Morphagene OUTS together with the QXG outs, so you'll need to stack/mult one Morph out into MultiMod.
The 7U case obviously has the CV bus and - can / could - contain the regular NUSS layout AND the Xenomorph Granular NUSS system. Together they could hold two universes which makes it Multiversal (NMSS) which logically brought me to the name 'Nemesis'. We often assiciate that name with something bad, but after a bit of research it translates to 'the force that reveals your limitations'. So when we meet our Nemesis, the only thing we need to do is grab another patchcable and say 'why stop here?' bla, bla, bla.
Seriously. This is an amazing layout.
Even though MultiMod was never intended for audio, again it's my favorite way to use it, and now it's the core of this setup. It will take the L[mono[ channel of Morphagene as an input so it will create eight roughly independent tentacles. MultiMod has a NUSS header on the back, so without any cable clutter it connects to QXG's audio in and PoliMaths will do the envelopes. So I am basically replacing the MultiWAVE for Morph + Mod as the new sound engine.
I did not realize I'd be getting a genuine granular synth on steroids. A workstation."

Make Noise Introdues GTE (Gestural Time Extractor) Module
video upload by MAKEN0ISE
Playlist:
1. GTE (Gestural Time Extractor) | Make Noise
2. GTE module overview
3. Channel Index Translation with GTE
Press release follows:
Make Noise is very excited to announce the latest module for the New Universal Synthesizer System, the Gestural Time Extractor (GTE)!
The Gestural Time Extractor (GTE) is an analog pulse extractor and Channel Index Translator for the New Universal Synthesizer System or any Eurorack modular system.
From the motion of the signal at the Span input, GTE derives up to eight individual channel pulses, as well as a GTE pulse stream representing the speed of motion of the input signal, and two gate outputs representing activity at the even and odd channels.
The Space parameter determines the threshold proximity of the channels to each other and thereby also the sensitivity and reactivity of the GTE and other outputs.
When the Clock input is in use, the GTE’s output channel will only change upon reception of a trigger or gate, allowing for changes to easily be synchronized with other existing events in the system.
With all controls set to starter min-max positions, the GTE also operates as a Channel Index Translator for PoliMATHS and other New Universal Synthesizer System modules that generate Channel Index signals, allowing the accurate derivation of individual channel gates from activity at the respective channels of the source module.
The GTE can be used to generate repeatable and controllable rhythm and timing information from any analog synthesizer signal, whether arbitrary or targeted, and is also useful for individual voice timing signal generation within a multi-voice N.U.S.S. system.
Extract rhythms, clocks and pulse streams from any control voltage source
Opens up the patch programmability of the N.U.S.S.
Synchronize GTE to any clock source with the Clock input
Use GTE to synchronize any event in your system with Activations from PoliMATHS and MultiWAVE - regardless of Span mode
Compact and powerful analog module
Pairs well with MATHS, PoliMATHS or Jumbler
Width: 8 hp
Max Depth
(incl. power cable): 29 mm

Noise Engineering announces Case of Steel, a 64 HP Eurorack Skiff with Busboard Power and Mults
video upload by Noise Engineering

Press release follows:
Noise Engineering announces Case of Steel, a 64 HP Eurorack Skiff with Integrated Busboard Power and Mults
Los Angeles, CA — Noise Engineering, known for their versatile Eurorack modules, has released Case of Steel, a skiff designed to house and power 64 HP of Eurorack modules.
While Noise Engineering has spent the last decade creating innovative modules, this is their first time releasing a standalone case. And while the market for cases large and small has grown significantly, Noise Engineering’s design still stands out with some innovative design choices and unique construction.
As the name implies, the case is made entirely of steel, with mounting holes tapped directly into the steel frame. This ensures that modules stay put, and the weight of the case keeps it in place while in use, despite its compact size. A pair of passive mults installed on the bottom of the case aids in patching, and saves HP in a small system. And while some skiffs are particularly shallow, Case of Steel offers over 2” of depth for modules, housing all but the deepest Eurorack designs for unmatched flexibility.
Case of Steel also features an integrated power supply. A power switch on the back of the case turns on the system, and power is delivered via a real busboard installed under the row of mults – no flying bus cables here. Despite the case’s compact size, the power specs are no joke: two zones of +12V offering 850mA each, plus 750mA of -12V and 1A of +5V. In a 64 HP system, it’ll be difficult to reach those limits. Case of Steel has a built-in power switch, and ships with a power brick, too.
For the production of Case of Steel, Noise Engineering worked with a metal fabricator near their headquarters, showing off the awesome capabilities of the Los Angeles maker community.
Due to the complexity of distribution, coupled with its unique materials and design, a limited run of just 90 cases has been produced, and will be sold exclusively through Noise Engineering’s web shop.
Case of Steel is a robust and powerful solution for Eurorack synthesists, no matter where they are in their journey.
Case of Steel begins shipping on February 19th only at https://noiseengineering.us.
Features
• Black powder coated steel design: solid case stays put while you patch
• Two sets of passive mults make patching easy
• Integrated busboard power supply with switch
• Bespoke Noise Engineering power supply with two zones of +12V offering 850mA each, plus 750mA of -12V and 1A of +5V

2-Zone Skiff
In 2009, Tony designed the first Skiff to complement the vertically oriented Doepfer P6 cases available at the time by providing an ergonomic enclosure for our René and Pressure Points touch controllers. These early skiffs were shallow, handcrafted wood designs. In 2015, a revised aluminum 3U Make Noise Skiff was released. This new design had enough depth to fit a wide range of modules, providing a smart way to build a small modular synthesizer.
Now, the Skiff has been updated again, this time to meet the more demanding power standards of today, with the 2-Zone Bus Board providing nearly double the power of its predecessor, plus the multi-zone design making it easy to isolate noise-susceptible or noise-causing modules from each other. The low-profile power headers are shrouded for easy and efficient module installation.
As before, the Skiff’s powder-coated aluminum construction is extremely durable. The clean, simple lines and matte black color place visual emphasis where the action is; the patch the artist has created.
Ships ready to use. Just add modules, patch cables, and inspiration.

Flame Maander-M Desktop Eurorack Wavetable Synth
A few pics via CONTROL
New version demo here, previous version in white here.
Details:
"A Streamlined Classic! Mäander-M Wavetable Synth with Analog Filterbank & Sequencer
The Flame MÄANDER-M is a compact reimagining of a well-regarded classic from the Flame lineup — now more affordable and streamlined, but still packed with the same sonic depth. At its core is a wavetable synth engine, fed into the 12-channel analog bandpass filter bank, controlled by the internal pattern sequencer.
Sound sources include a polyphonic wavetable and FM oscillator, an analog white noise generator and an external audio input. The internal sequencer offers one polyphonic note track (up to 4-voice chords) and 14 mono tracks. The latter are dedicated to the filter channels, the audio input, and the noise source. Each track has its own VCA with individual envelope control and is accessible via MIDI notes.
Patterns can be created and saved as patches, and played live with ease. The built-in arpeggiator and keyboard scaler make the MÄANDER a powerful tool for live jamming and generative sequencing. Updates, patch management, and wavetable loading are handled conveniently via MIDI SysEx.
New in this version: direct oscillator output, stereo noise output, and stereo audio input. Mäander comes fully mounted in a powered 56HP wooden skiff to get started right away.
The Mäander module comes with a custom-made 56HP Eurorack case. Consisting of black anodised aluminium half-shells with wooden side panels, the case has a desk-style design. It includes a built-in power supply (+5V, +12V and -12V, each with an output current of 500 mA) and a plug-in power supply (9–18 V, 18 W), and can therefore also be used as a separate Eurorack case with other modules. The case is manufactured entirely in Germany, and the elegant wooden side panels are crafted from locally sourced wood, including cherry and elm."

"Fusion System MK1 in excellent condition. This system has been fully tested. all modules function as expected and the modules all sound incredible!
Comes in an Erica Synths powered skiff with original PSU.
Erica Synths Fusion Drone System is here for those, who want to explore the dark territories of the sound, where only few have stepped in.
Vacuum tube based Erica Synths Fusion Series modules are the basis for this system, while Black Modulator and Black Envelope Generator add plenty of modulation and noise generation possibilities. It has 43 patchpoints for extensive experiments in sound design, all analogue signal and CV path to create the drones of massive power. Want a solid bassline with great 1V/oct tracking? Use CV/Gate sequencer or keyboard and you have it! Erica Synths Fusion Drone System brings distinct and powerful sound into eurorack.
Fusion Drone System includes:
Fusion VCO – Two double triodes in bistable latch connection act as suboscillators: -1 and -2 octaves with plenty of mixing opportunities for amazing sonic results. External audio signal can replace internal VCO.
Fusion Ringmodulator V2 – Germanium diodes enrich the sound by adding extra harmonic content meanwhile vacuum tube adds evilish overdrive to audio and carrier signals.
Fusion VCF V2 – Each side of the double triode drives signal between 2nd and 3rd stage of the filter, while germanium diodes are used to limit the output signal.
Black Modulator – a fully analogue modulation and noise source.
Black 8-Multi – an advanced replacement for stackable patch-cables – it is active buffered multiple with signal status LEDs.
Fusion VCA V2 – a Russian miniature pentode 1Ж24B with power consumption comparable to an LED.
Black EG – the ultimate control over envelopes in your modular system.
Fusion Delay/Flanger/Vintage Ensemble – a distinct multifunctional analogue effects module that combines BBD chip based effects with an adjustable tube overdrive in the delay output and a feedback path for extra thickness of the sound.

Kanawha Music and Art: Long Division 2 & Filternator - #Knobcon
video upload by CatSynth TV
"We check out the new modules from West-Virginia-based Kanawha Music and Art. Long Division 2 is a classic polyphonic divide-down voice reminiscent of the electronic organs and string machines of the 1960s and 1970s. The Filternator is a filter module based on the resonators found in 1940s Hammond organs.

Playlist:
1. "Filternator" module introduction
A no-talking introduction to our new module. Is it a Filter? Is it a Resonator? Yes...with a difference.2. Filternator Stereo demo- no talking
Using two Filternator modules in parallel for stereo and the cool sounds you can make.3. Filternator Drum & Guitar
What happens when you run a drum machine or a guitar through this module? Let's find out.
Filternator
"Is it a filter? Is it a resonator? Is it a filter bank? Yes- the new Filternator module is all of the above…with a difference. When developing the module and hearing how it treated signals, it was obviously filtering, but with high resonant peaks that were stronger than the incoming signal, at which point it was resonating up a storm. So what to call it? It’s resonating as much as it’s filtering, so we called it the Filternator!
It’s simplicity itself to use: plug your audio in the input, and the output goes to whatever you like down your signal chain. Use the wet/dry mix knob to control the amount of “filternated” signal you’d like to hear. Then comes the fun part: chose a mode, and start messing around with the switches. There’s a choice of three switches for the capacitors, and three switches for the coils used in the circuit. They can be used in any combination to set the filter frequencies and resonant peaks. If you like, automate the mix control with an external CV source. The one thing you don’t do is power it up…except for the external control voltage for the wet/dry mix, it’s completely passive! But unlike other passive filters, this design doesn’t drag down your signal level with resistors in the circuit, because there aren’t any. By using inductors instead, the signal doesn’t get attenuated as it does in a standard passive filter. Instead, it will actually boost signal levels as it nears the resonance peak.
Talk about skiff friendly, not only does it not take any power, but it’s nice and slim, just 12mm deep behind the (nice and thick aluminum) faceplate."
