How to add a Trigger to Audrey II Synth

video upload by Wirehead Instruments

"Simple hardware mod to add a trigger to the Synthux Academy Audrey II feedback synthesizer.

The trigger shorts the feedback control to maximum voltage (VCC), so the control is set to max while the button is pressed.

Enables a different expressive performance vs playing the feedback control itself.

Parts: 1 x normally open switch

Caveats: Modifier-beware! I am not responsible if you blow up your Audrey!! ☹️ in particular, the mod is crude and merely shorts the wiper to VCC.

If the feedback control is set to the minimum, this effextively shorts GROUND to VCC through the wiper resistance only (usually less than 50ohms).

in testing this makes a slight glitch in the sound, but is likely to be doing som damage to the Daisyseed, so olease be careful!!!"

Wirehead Basilisk Jam with FX Wizard and Scrooge

video upload by Molten Music Technology

"I've just built the Basilisk from Wirehead Instruments and thought I'd give it a play with some friends. DIY Build video should be in the channel shortly. This is one fun little box of synthesizer with a very cool generative sequencer and two oscillators. This is just an improvised jam and fiddle around to give you a flavour of the synth."

Basilisk - NEW Analog-Hybrid Generative Bassline Synthesiser by Wirehead Instruments

video upload by Wirehead Instruments

Playlist: 1. Basilisk - NEW Analog-Hybrid Generative Bassline Synthesiser! 2. Basilisk Hybrid Generative Synthesizer Demo 3. Basilisk Hybrid Bassline Synthesizer - AVAILABLE NOW!

"Introducing Basilisk from Wirehead Instruments, a new hybrid-analog generative bassline exploration machine! Available soon from Thonk, Tindie & more!

Basilisk is a new bass-line exploration synthesizer from Wirehead Instruments, with dual digital oscillators driven into an aggressive MS20-style analog filter coupled with a powerful generative sequencer.

Whether you need thumping bass-lines, melodic leads, or percussive tribal beats, the Basilisk is ready to lead you down the rabbit hole from the moment you power it on.

The dual oscillators include saw and square/pulsewave, with manual & LFO control over PWM, detune, pitch envelope & glide.

The analog filter has a fat saturated drive stage with resonance that can go from subtle to squelching to screaming, and the external audio input can process instruments from your desktop or Eurorack

All of this can be sequenced and modulated by the attack/decay exponential envelope, multiwaveform/multi-destination LFO and Elektron-style parameter-locks.

The Basilisk is powered by a 1-16-step generative sequencer evolved from the Freaq FM, with multiple algorithms. Explore deep space, underground caverns, deep jungle or 1980s suburbia!"
