"Here’s the final released version of the E520 Hyperion Effects Processor from Synthesis Technology. It’s been great to explore this and film my first patches playing with the release version after initially exploring an earlier prototype (links to that below). This video looks at 7 algorithms exploring different patches and some of what the E520 offers. Future videos will explore the algorithms in detail in my usual ‘deep dive’ style looking at the time based and spectral based effects.

"This is a video manual I created with the help of Synthesis Technology for their new E520 stereo Eurorack-format Hyperion Processor. It features both updates of a number of classic effects, as well as new frequency and time domain processing tricks, all while keeping a very flat menu with a small number of powerful parameters – most of which have dedicated knobs and voltage control. Below is an index to the features:

*Note that this video was shot using pre-production hardware and firmware (v.13 and .14). It was very close to the final version both, so shipping units should behave the same (with the exception that I set the display background color from blue to black to make it easier to read on video). Firmware updates beyond version 1.0 will of course introduce changes not covered in this video.
"Using the humble Casio SK-1 to demonstrate how powerful the #E520 #HyperionProcessor multi-effects unit can be on some (arguably) bland source material! This will be available very soon in Eurorack format (48HP).
"Let's go to OUTER SPACE! The Shimmer reverb on the #E520HyperionProcessor from #SynthesisTechnology can take any sound to outer space, but it's especially nice when it's sweetening an already lush pad.
This sound I've come up with on the forgotten 90's ROMpler, the Yamaha W5, is gorgeous on its own...With the E520 it's otherworldly!
Take a little quiet time, still the mind, vibe out to this #ambient soundscape! I thank you for listening!"
"Moot Booxle demonstrates the #SynthesisTechnology #E520 processor with an electric guitar. No other effects have been used, except a stereo cabinet simulator via IK AmpliTube 3. I wanted to have a bit more typical electric guitar sound than just a DI sound.
So the signal path is Peavey Strat w/ EMG pickups ; Mono input of E520 ; ART TPS II tube preamp ; Tascam DM-4800 console ; Logic Pro X ; AmpliTube 3 ; Limiter.
"Back the Synthesis Technology E520 Hyperion Stereo Effects Processor on Kickstarter before it ends Sunday! http://kck.st/356J297 .
This will be an actual Eurorack module - not the bare-bones prototype you see here! I'd been wanting to do another Poly D sound demo, but with FX, and this was the perfect opportunity.
So much more to come...and not just Behringer! I'm practically swimming in cool stuff to show you. I'm so glad you watched my video and shared your time with me! I hope you have a wonderful day!"
"**TIMING INDEX BELOW, SKIP AROUND!!!* Here's the early prototype of the new E520 Hyperion Processor from Synthesis Technology. To me this is really the next generation of audio processing and FX in the Eurorack format. Having the prototype to play around with I wanted to get this out to show you the great sounds already in the unit, which is constantly getting updates and new features even at this stage. Head to the links below to support it on Kickstarter and for more info.
"48HP Eurorack module, with up to 32 audio effects. Powerful 480MHz ARM processor, 64MB SDRAM, and 24bit/48KHz sampling."
The upcoming SynthTech E520 Hyperion Stereo Effects Processor is set to launch on Kickstarter this coming Friday, November 15. You can sign up to follow progress on the Kickstarter site.

"INTRODUCING THE E520 HYPERION, A STEREO EFFECTS PROCESSOR
Kickstarter campaign launches on Nov. 15th and the KS page will activate on Nov. 10th. Estimated shipping: late May 2020.
OVERVIEW
The E520 Hyperion is a mono/stereo in, stereo out effects module. It is 48HP wide and uses less than 300ma of +12V and less than 70ma of -12V.
Powered by a 480MHz ARM Cortex M7 CPU, the E520 has 64MB on on-board SDRAM for recording up to 6min of stereo audio at 48KHz sample rate. The LCD screen and optical encoder navigation uses the same 'shallow' menu scheme of our E352 and E370 modules, with the addition of 4 'soft keys' for selecting options without having to leave the main page.
The E520 uses a premium audio path not usually found in Eurorack. Crystal Semi CODECs, TI OPA-series op amps and WIMA film caps in the output stage are used along with low-noise, dedicated LDO voltage regulators for a clean, full soundstage. Audio conversion uses 48KHz sample rate, 24bit resolution with a line or synth level setting.
Please note this is a 'living document' and subject to modification at any time over the next 8 weeks.
"After the successful launch of their Cloud Terrarium kickstarter a couple of years ago Synthesis Technology are launching another kickstarter, this time for the Hyperion E520 stereo audio processor.
The Hyperion E520 is a stereo audio processor that combines the features of the E560 and E580 audio processors and adds a load of new features. The Hyperion E520 runs on a much faster 480MHz DSP with 64Mb of Sd RAM allowing the module to run code much faster which allows for stereo samples of up to 22 minutes long!
Designer Paul Schreiber was on hand to talk us through the features."
