Yes, it can be used as a 4 steps sequencer.
And the time position of each steps are freely adjustable, with the full loop that stays in sync. Another way to make some swing ;)

Dangerous Noise Box - Modular synth exploration

"Let's see if we can make a lot of noise with the DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR. And actually, it works really well!

Since the module has plenty of input and output points, it's possible to create all sorts of different feedbacks. And therefore lots of strange sounds. From clicks to white noise, and all kinds of crackles!
And since originally, the waveform of the oscillator is a sine wave, you can easily go from a very soft sound to something very aggressive!

The video is divided into 2 parts:
An explanation of the patch.
Two improvisations with this patch.

At first, I'll using my Random*Source / SERGE modules.
And then, with my Dual Undula Oscillator. Because the VCO can work like a VCF, and th frequency can go very low.

And stupidly, I was forgetting that my DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR has all functions to test the idea ! So I'm testing the idea with it.
And after that, I'm digressing around the stereo possibilities of my module and the MS (mid/side) option.

"I'm just receiving the XAOC DEVICES SAMARKANDA module !!!

The ultimate delay module ?
Maybe not , it needs some extra modules, maybe, like filters, or compressors.
But the best I know in the 'modular' spirit. And it's what I'm looking for.

Why ? because the module fonctionnalities are completely open. Almost all parameters are CV (or gate) controllable, and the 4 delays can be independante.
So, if I need more functionnalities, I can add them to the module by patching other modules: there are all the jacks we need.
Also, no sub menus or tiny screen.
It means that it can be deeply connected to all my other modules: the 'modular' spirit...

To show how this module is easy to use, this is really an 'out of the box' test. (for a result after a deep exploration of the module, see the very good demo that are already on youtube, from your favorit youtubers)

"WHAT'S THAT THING ?

This is a configurable multiple module.
There are two versions: 8 jacks, or 2 switches + 6 jacks.
Of course, the package include only one module, not the two versions !

On the back, for each jack:
- Access to the tip of the connected jack cable.
- Access to the Normaled pin.
With the jumper, it's possible to select which one are connected to the internal bus, to connect multiple jacks together like classical multiple modules.

One more jumper to connect the internal bus of the 1 to 4 jacks with the internal bus of the 5 to 8 jacks.

The version with switches has three pins on the back for each switches.

The module can also be used as an extension to LE modules with hidden functionnalities:
Like the 4TOMS or the DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR.

The module is also useful for all modules with access point at the back, or to hack/modify modules.

Cables, to use the module as an extension, are not provided with the module."
