TR-606 mod vs TR-808

YouTube via lesingemonotone

Update via /kroffe in the comments: "It's only a comparisson - I'm not claiming I've turned the 606 into an 808. The 606-mods are based on the Geoff Waterston mods: The TR-808 in the movie is not modified.

Kurzweil K250

images via this auction
"Rare Kurzweil K250 synthesizer in great condition. Included are the hard to find QLS sampling software, original stand, two owners manuals, power supply, Macintosh computer with external hard drive, floppy drive, NOS keyboard and mouse and spare computer hardware. This package sold for $12,000 in 1984. I have seen stands and power supplies sell for $250 each recently. Other features include the 88 note velocity sensitive weighted keys, 341 standard presets, 18 bit floating point resolution, user sampling, and built-in sequencer. Research this unit for all the details. The piano and organ patches are great and the piano feel is true.
These units are still widely used in recording studios. This particular unit was owned by the late Billy Rancher. The entire package weighs about 125 pounds. "

Roland SPV-355

images via this auction

"Roland SPV-355 vintage analog pitch to CV monosynth. I would like to add that effecting the VCO pitch or VCF cutoff very easily by using the LFO for your Kenton Pro Solo or other MIDI to CV converter and hooking it up to the Pedal Control section. There's a slider for both the filter and VCO so not having an onboard LFO is really no big deal." The auction includes this Sound on Sound article on the SPV-355.

MOOG Sonic Six

via this auction

"This model is an older model that I've actually NEVER seen available online, as the few I've seen have lacked the unique "Moog" molding on the top of the case as this one has. The power cable is also connects to the synthesizer as a three pin plug."
