Speak & Spell Glitching Without Circuit Bending
YouTube via stenophonic
"This is a simple vid that i slapped together to show you how to get some good glitchy speak and spell sounds without having to circuit bend it."

DotCom, MFM and Doepfer MAQ16/3
YouTube via attorks
"Rhythm sequence with an 8 step sequence on row 1 of the MAQ16/3. Row 3 controls the dynamics of row 1 which results in a switch on/off for each step. The Synthesizers.com Modular on top produces the high RM type sound, the MFM below produces the low noisy sound."
JH. Subtle Chorus

"Hi, just wanted to give you a quick update of my upcoming (fall 2008) "Subtle Chorus" PCB project, which, among other things, will be able to emulate a Dimension D, (using original ICs and all), plus "Dim T" (Same topology but with two 20-stage phasers instead of BBDs), plus generic true-stereo, dual-BBD chorus. Depending on what configuration you want, this will use one, or up to four PCBs. (Dim D emulation needs two PCBs.)
The "Subtle Chorus" is a variable project consisting of 3 different PCBs that can be combined for various functions.
a.. You can build a rather simple, true-stereo, dual-BBD Chorus with voltage controlled Chorus Rate and voltage controlled Chorus Depth, using a single PCB.
b.. You can emulate the famous "Dimension D" (Trademark of Roland / Boss) sound with it's unique filtering and presets, using two PCBs, the "Dim D" (You even have the choice between vintage HA1457W opamps, or more common TL071 / TL072 opamps.)
c.. You can build a similar effect that uses 20-pole all pass filters instead of BBDs, using three PCBs, the "Dim T".
d.. And you can build an overkill effect device that allows to choose between the Dim D and Dim T effect, using 4 PCBs, the "Dim TD" version. So far, the BBD board design is finished; main board will be the next.
Documentation is here:
http://www.jhaible.de/subtle_chorus/jh_subtle_chorus.html
The BBD board needs 2 x MN3007 and 2 x MN3101. These are quite easy to get, compared to other vintage BBDs. The Dim T version doesn't need any BBDs, of course...
Forgot to mention:
BBD board also needs 2 x NE570 (or NE571, or SA571) companders."

"This is a demo of some of the MIDI functions of the Solar Module. The Solar Module is an 8 bit synth and a MIDI controller. You can plu the Solar Module into any MIDI device, such as a drum machine, keyboard, synth module, or PC/Mac MIDI software. Anything that accepts MIDI input!

Solar Module by ElectroKraft.com
"The Solar Module is a combination MIDI controller and 8 Bit synthesizer.
Moving your hand above the photocell sensor, the Solar Module behaves like a Theremin. MIDI output and synth output, it's 2 instruments in one.
Notice how the synth can sound very much like an 80's video game? That's called the 8 bit sound.
Enjoy.

via electro-music.com where you will find more info and other people's designs of this DIY sequencer by Ken Stone's Catgirl Synth.
"An 8-step analogue sequencer/programmer, newly-built, not quite working 100% as yet. It's an iteration of Ken Stone's excellent design, and a set of PCBs is available here, if you want to build one yourself. Recommended, but not for a first electro-music DIY project, there's a lot of wiring up involved."
