"MaxMSP is sending out amplitude variations of a squarewave. This audio signal is fed into an envelope follower, which generates the pitch of the sequence.

The rest is just me futzing about. I'm really hoping to find the *cough* 'time' *cough* to expand this system soon."

via this cl listing, via Jeremy who'd like to know if anyone out there knows more about these. The shots aren't the greatest, but I've never seen or posted one before. "improv on the korg electribe esx-1, first vid of it,..couple of mistakes but it came out pretty good. not my usual style, but plenty fun.. broke the very ending but oh well :)

everything = esx. sample kits are custom as well as the synth waveforms. a decent trick; run a pad or lead through all three chains of pitchshifter to build a chord. resample that chord at a root note or two and save it. also gives the 'supersaw' sound if u use it on a good saw wave."
