Doepfer Drums

Doepfer Drums from Jyoti Mishra on Vimeo.

"This is a patch I created using my new Doepfer modular synthesizer.

Basically, the LFO (A143-3) I'm tweaking goes into the clock divider (A160) and clock sequencer(A161), giving me the gates to trig the quad ADSR (A143-2). I'm using three filters, one set to resonate (making the tinkly sound) and another resonating swept very low for the kick. The source is white noise.

Hope you like it!

(By the way, although the Doepfer is going through a Nanoverb, it's bypassed. The reverb you hear is the A199 Doepfer Spring Reverb.)"

NOTE: I thought this would be a good example to note the difference in quality between YouTube and Vimeo. The following is the same video on YouTube. BTW, if you know I'm subscribed to your videos on YouTube and you jump ship to Vimeo, let me know. The one thing I like better about YouTube is it is super easy to subscribe to and find new videos. Vimeo, not so...

"Another video we shot in my current 'AtmoSphere' studio. It shows a bit more overview than the first video and also some of the synthesizers in the back of the studio."

Space Choruses

via dvdborn on AH:
"Recently there was some talk here about the cheapo Behringer pedals. Just for the sake of it and because they are so cheap I decided to buy their Space Chorus C and Space Chorus D and compare them to my Boss DC-2.

I've recorded my Solina, without its ensemble effect activated, through the 3 pedals with their different settings.

You can listen to it and read all about it here: http://dvdborn.blogspot.com"

"I was getting ready for bed and putting away cables from my last video when I started messing around with a drone and using the M28 to add some pulses to the drone. Well, this isn't the drone, it evolved to this marching kind of thing with with some Moogerfooger analog delay. No effects in the computer, just some compression. What you hear is basically what was synthesized. I couldn't stop with Part 1, I started twisting the frequencies at the end of this video, and decided to make a part 2 since the FM sounded so cool. No filtering at all here (except the M13 gates). The M11 Evil Twin was self resonating and FMing OSC1 which was FMing OSC2, as well as running through the Mod/Demod and PlanB ring modulator. just additive synthesis here and in part 2. :)"

"bunch of FM synthesis frequency knob twisting. No filters, just additive synthesis except the M13 gate. Mod/Demod, M25 Audio processor doing waveshaping and ring mod, both M15s FMing and sending audio to the mod/demod then through the ring modulator, and into the wave shaper.
Not super musical, somewhat abrasive if you don't like raw unfiltered waveforms. I need more oscillators..."
