Circuit bent Oceanus Noise Box 2

via this auction
"Oceanus circuit bent noise box 2.
This is one for the sound freaks , bought - sampled to death and now being sold on.Its basically from what i can gather a Drum machine crossed with a Voice modulator , robot vocoder effector which also glitches. The drum machine goes through the effector and there is also an external input for freaking out signals.Theres also a 1/4 out.All working and sounding 'Bent ' :) A pretty unique device and a one off i believe.Heres video i found on you tube of the actual unit.

I personally giove the drum machine without the mods a 8/10 for retardedness. Its about as cheesy as you can get and through a delay or phaser etc sounds really pretty mad and like the salvation army sunday school band on a couple of hundred mushrooms.Add the voice changer mod and effect and glitch and its pretty unexplainable.I had a few to take the circuits and add them onto an sk1 or something but i just dont have time.No reserve and no compensation if this does your head in or freaks out the 'normal ' people in your street. It will up loud !

BugBrand 40106 Quad-Oscillator + 4077 Quad-XNOR

"The 40106 is a great chip to play with - you can make up to 6 simple oscillators from it, but I've chosen to implement simple Syncronization, so only have four Oscs. Each Osc has three rates possible by using a 3way switch. The Sync possibilities use SPDT C/O switches allowing Oscs 2 & 4 to be sync'd to either Osc 1 or Osc 2 (or Sync off).
The 4077 is a quad XNOR gate which gives an effect like ring-modulation (you could also use a 4070 XOR for similar effects)."

BugBrand 4094 8-stage Serial Shift Register

"The 4094 is a very simple 8-stage shift register implementation - just a clock and a data input (same way as for the 4015 -- SPDT C/O switch). You get eight output stages and two complementary serial outputs."

BugBrand 4089 Rate Multiplier

"The 4015 contains two independent 4-stage shift registers and require clock and data signals (along with a reset input which may be implemented or not depending on requirements). I wired the data input with a single-pole-double-throw-centre-off switch so that you can input a logic HI, logic LO or external data flow - in the Up position, the input is tied HI, in the mid position the input is pulled low by the pull-down resistor and in the low position the external input is connected. I also made use of small 5-way rotary switches to give a switchable-select-output - but its hard / expensive to get such switches.."

AudioWeevils in November - Newsletter

"Not too much news this month as the ongoing 'developments' are still underwraps for now
- I hope to have announcements before the end of the year, but there are still a couple of areas to finalize...
There are, however::::::
- more AudioWeevils
- Workshop Osc Machine Kits + Documentation
- Postcards in yellow
- & some free BugModular mp3s

Batch #3 of the AudioWeevil08

15 boxes have just been added to the shop
These are black slope fronted cases with red panel.
(similar to the shown image, but the case is black rather than dark brown)
Priced, as usual, at £190 plus shipping.

(This mailout is being sent later in the day than the last two - those of you in the US hadn't been getting a fair look-in with midday mailouts)
(You're also in a good position as the £ is not feeling so healthy at the moment...)

Please strike quickly if you'd like one...

After holding a workshop event at the Hokaben Festival recently, I have finally completed the documentation for the Workshop Osc Machine kits.
You can download it here (1.5meg size) [pdf]
22 pages of info! Covering an introduction to parts, how to solder, kit construction and how the circuit works..

A limited number of kits are now in the shop with a further set later in the week.
Kits contain Printed Circuit Board, ALL parts and B&W printed instructions.
The only tools required to build the kit are: Soldering Iron (plus stand & cleaner) / Solder / Wire Cutters
The kits are priced at £40 plus shipping.

More news and another batch of AWeevils in December.
Big thanks!"

"Having a play with the Auduino synthesiser.

Auduino is based on the Arduino board. The audio is coming direct from Arduino PWM output with only a slight external reverb. No other effects were used.

Construction details and code here"

via Peter of Tinker it!:
"Me and the team at Tinker.it have put together a softsynth for Arduino entitled Auduino (a contraction of Audio Arduino) and I thought you might be interested. I've released the source and schematic, so everyone can hack around with it.

Acidlab Bassline

The Acidlab Bassline from this post is now up for auction.

"Roland TB-303 Bassline Clone from Germany. Limted production usually only available from the manufacturer in Germany.

Features (from the manual):
- Tuning control for the pitch over +/- 8 half-tones.
- Tuning switch increased or degraded by a octave.
- Waveform switch for selecting the wave shape.
- Cutoff control determines the corner frequency, Resonance control increases the resonance of the filter.
- Env Mod control increases the filter envelope.
- Decay control increases the release time of the filter envelope.
- Accent control increases the portion of the accent.
- Sequencer can be synced to MIDI or (Roland) Sync, can also be used as Master to send sync (Roland) to external devices.
- Step switch between 12 or 16 steps for each pattern.
- Length switch changes the step length with external synchronisation (triole if on 8, 16tel if on 6).
- By different combinations of the switches, the same Line can be played with different pattern length and step length.

Comes complete with power supply."
