Wiard modules in Euro format - by Malekko

flickr by Analogue Haven

"The first sketches of Euro versions of the Wiard filters, Boogie and Borg, by Malekko. Both modules are vactrol-based and should be available by early summer. $225 each, 12 HP in size, honest to the original designs, licensed from Wiard and using the same schematics. LINK: www.analoguehaven.com/malekko/modules/. There is more coming..."

"Close-up shot of the microkorg panel, taken with the 28-135 and showing moderate barrel distortion. This is a fabulous toy, it's very easy to program and has a quite good sound quality with decent analog feel in a compact package. The keybed feels somewhat strange and flimsy but it's playable once you get used to it."

Roland Jupiters

via synth.nl where you'll find a post with more images on the Jupiter-6. excerpt: "When I finally got the synthesizer I liked the sound a lot but was even well disappointed, because it sounded nothing like the Jupiter 8. I thought a Jupiter 6 was just an 6 voice version, but it is a completely different synthesizer. So after a while I sold it and started looking further for a Jupiter 8 that I eventually found as well. But it took a while before I found one. After a while I already regretted selling the Jupiter 6 since it does have a very nice sound of its own. It is less powerful and warm than his bigger brother, but it is very good in more subtle and clearer sounds." Note the Anyware Instruments SEMtex in the back ground and the Yamaha CS50 behind the Jupiter-8.

KeyPerformer running on a V-Machine

YouTube via zioguido

"This is the VST instrument GSi KeyPerformer running on a V-Machine. The sound is directly coming from the little V (hq this time! :-))

Unfortunately the USB controller I'm using in this video has a terrible keyboard action, practically impossible to play piano sounds with the correct expression (black keys are more sensitive than white keys!), but this is just an example of a very basic configuration, all in less than 5 Kilograms!

The sample-playback section of Key Performer can play up to 56 voices in the V-Machine. If you don't need high polyphony (for example, if you don't need to play piano parts with the sustain pedal), you can even load more than one instance of the plugin and have it multi-timbral on different MIDI channels, e.g. with 2 keyboards.

Freaky Ambience Sounds Generated Using Cygnus VST Synth

YouTube via SomethingUnreal
"A little demonstration of some freaky atmospheric sounds made using the freeware VST Synth called 'Cygnus'.

「Cygnus」と言うフリーウェアVST synthで作った、いくつかの恐ろしい雰囲気音の、少しのデモンストレーション。

Probably not a good idea to listen if you feel sleepy...
