reacTable a la UAB
reacTable a la UAB from sunxez on Vimeo.
"Demo del reacTable a càrrec de Dani Gallardo dins el programa de l'Artefacte'08. Emmarcat dins l'Any de la Computació de la UAB i amb activitats organitzades pel col·lectiu Electrotech.no?"
Anyone know what language that is? I thought it might be Portuguese, but Google isn't translating it. Could it be Basque? via Auditory Canvas
Update via Jordi in the comments: "It's Catalan, as the UAB (the university which developed the reacTable) is in Barcelona. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_language"
Update via elgauchoandres in the comments: "...and translating (more or least): Dani Gallardo demoing the reacTable on the "The Gadget '08" activities program of the UAB organized by the colective Electrotech."
Synthpond driving MKS-80 via OSC/Pd
Synthpond driving MKS-80 via OSC/Pd from Chris Randall on Vimeo.
"As the title says. Synthpond running on my iPhone is talking to Pd via OSC. I made a patch to turn the Synthpond OSC data in to MIDI notes. I've got Pd sending MIDI to Cubase via MIDI Yoke.
The MKS-80 is receiving note data from MIDI Yoke in Cubase. All effects are from an H8000FW except reverb, which is [redacted].
Regarding the specific Pd patch, I've got the Synthpond /freq to MIDI note, and /life to velocity. Now that I've got the proof-of-concept out of the way, I'll probably route xPos and yPos to CC data to control panning and such, and perhaps wire the Synthpond affectors to fire something else. Once I have the patch more usable, I'll put it up for download on Analog Industries."

Chip Friend User Resource

"The Friend Chip® machines utilized early Microcomputertechnik for musical purposes, and where designed by Dipl. Ing. H. G. Zemper and Ton-Ing. J.O. Bergler in the late 1970 - 80 ies. Today the company still makes fine machines, but mainly for AES/EBU distribution. The above picture is of me working with a MR.LAB® in the summer 2007. This Website is soon to be a fully functional USER- RESOURCE and it´s purpose is for You who own, or have had any experience with the equipment from Friend Chip® Berlin to use it and to contribute. Don't go (Yazoo) - short demo arrangement with DSI evolver
YouTube via laubimusic77. sent my way via fischek.
"was curious, if evolver has some "pro one" feeling under the hood. So I turned the digital osc. off... - what do you think?
everything's just pure evolver overdubbed, always one program - no doubling, fx, eq, etc."
Sequencer - Seku

The Seku by Mauno Tuominen (http://www.studiomanus.com/seku.htm)."
"Heart of SEKU is CMOS 4520 dual synchronous divide-by-16 counter. RESET-in-jack must be normalised to ground when not used (16-step mode). Length of the sequence can be set to N by patching PULSE OUT from N+1 step to RESET IN jack. When no clock is connected to CLK IN sequencer can be manually stepped from STEP button.
CMOS 4067 1-of-16 analog switch is used for GATE, CV and PULSE outputs. Inhibit-pin of GATE OUT 4067-switch is clocked at the same frequency as the 4520 with 4001 nor-gate turning each GATE OUT off before turning the next GATE on. You can mute any one of the 1-16 steps with the STEP MUTE switch."

"Self made analog step sequencer controls Korg MS10 and Roland S100M synthesizers. First row controls MS10 pitch and S100M noise-drum gate. Second row controls MS10 filter-cutoff.
Synthesizer sounds are modified live when sequence is running. More information about SEKU and Sigma on www.studiomanus.com"
You might remember the SEKU from these posts (scroll).
Testing the modular.
YouTube via zthee. via kroffe in the comments of this post on the Serge looking CGS DIY modular. I added this video to that post as well. Comments disabled here to keep them there.

You'll also find more images and details there as well. At a high level the modular features the following:

1 low-frequency oscillator (LFO)
1 Attack-Release (AR) Envelope Generator
1 12dB, Band Pass/ Low-Pass Voltage-controlled Filter (VCF)(1volt/oct)
1 Mixer
2 voltage-controlled amplifiers (VCA)
1 white noise generator
1 Morph-Lag Processor

"This is Pete from The Crystalline Effect & Shiv-r.
Working on a TCE remix for exclusive release on a compilation by Advoxya Records. This video is about the "swooshes" or "cymbal crashes" over the top of the track, and creating them with the Alesis Andromeda A6. The original song has been released on the album "Identity" released at the start of 2009 and the remix will be featured on the "PABS 3" compilation due for release in late 2009.

"70s inspired instrumental tune by *THE SWEEPS combining some old Super 8-material (ca. 1976) with live footage. In the beginning it's just Fender Rhodes and Crumar Multiman, the Minimoog solo is coming after the break. The effects are offered by the Moog Prodigy.
