Pickup coil feedback loop experiment

YouTube via ChrisLody
"I had some fun making this!

All the sound originates from the sound activated flower in the centre of the screen. The little black blob on top of it is a little interference pickup coil that I made. I found the flower made noises I could detect when it moved with this coil. The coil goes to a little battery powered amp as a sort of pre-amp. From here they go to an Alesis Guitar Fx (Stupid name!) multi fx pedal for manipulation and then out to my monitors.

The flower is triggered by sound so as long as there is a delay somewhere in the fx it constantly re-triggers itself for more manipulation.

Great fun!"

Ben / Michael Jackson / Theremin

YouTube via copperleaves
"Here is a theremin rendition of one one of the late, great Michael Jackson's early hits, BEN (1972), played on the Moog Etherwave Pro theremin. The volume configuration of my E'Pro has been recently improved by the addition of a module designed by French electronics wizard Thierry Frenkel and I am really pleased with the results. This song seemed like a good way to show off Thierry's modification and, at the same time, celebrate Michael's amazing but very troubled life."

Dual Ribbon Controller

YouTube via Quadraphonicsoul
"This is my dual ribbon controller based off of http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folku... designs. I added a second ribbon as well as two fine tune pots and a pot to control the voltage going to the IC in order to create more glitching. There are two outputs one for ribbon A and one for AandB. Runs off standard boss 9V supply. There is a problem with the oscillator design that causes it to randomly go on and off at a low freq. that is the clicking that is hear in the beginning."
