Test if i can still make techno trance / dutch trance
"Good old samples and a juno 60 trance-line sounding up trance in the 90's groove but with a 2009 touch.
I pioneered dutch trance in the early and mid 90's under the name Cybermax.
Quit the trance bizz in 1998 made some Italo synthesizer disco under the name Lonestarr and produced other artists like Rozzetta in 2004."

If you live in Holland i can fix your display for only 49 Euro's incl. tax. Send your machine to me or bring it to me, and i'll fix it instantly.
The new display backlight (from Conrad Electronics) will last approx 25000 hours, so probably 6 to 10 practical years."
Preparing a Korg Trident for MIDI Part 1 - 9
YouTube via karelpostthuis. Hear it play in part 9.
"THIS INTERFACE IS NOW FOR SALE!
A movie discribing the preparing of a Korg Trident for a MIDI interface. It is a proces in the making, so stay in tune for updates because the Interface is to be created from scrap parts. This is not a retrofit, it's my own re-using of scrap electronics to create a new MIDI interface."

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 home made MIDI interface
YouTube via karelpostthuis
"The finished result of my home-made MIDI interface for the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 synthesizer.
Shows the response of the interface boards and pictures of the electronics inside my Prophet 5.
It was a pain to get it working properly as the Prophet had a LOT of faulty soldering making my interface look as if it generated flaws.
After rebuilding the internal powersupply the synth worked properly and also all tuning problems disappeared, the synth now works AS NEW!
If YOU have a synth that has no MIDI, mail me maybe i can build a board for you!"
Repair work on a vintage SP12 Drum Sampler from E-MU systems by Karel Post
YouTube via karelpostthuis
"First movie of a set describing the repair of a SP12 in critical state of decay.
The unit suffers very much of corrosion caused by an unknown liquid that has entered the machine in the past.
Repair is mainly reducing the corrosion-resistance that causes functions to fail.
I hope the machine will function 100% again........"
Repairing an E-MU SP12 part 2 by Karel Post
"A detailed film about the repair and revival of the SP12. It turned out the unit had suffered a major fluid spill in the past ,oxydizing the integrated circuits and its sockets. The frontpanel of the unit had lots of rust and other oxydation as well as defective switches and LED's. The display however was fine fortunately..................
Part 1 is about the revival of the CPU part, this is the cleanup and repair of some user parts and switches."
Alesis Andromeda 24db Moog filter
YouTube via carouxtia
"Here are some monophonic 24db filter bass riffs played on my Alesis Andromeda. I'm running the Andromeda in stereo through 2 Universal Audio LA-610's into a MoTU 896 mk3 into a Macbook Pro running Logic Pro 8. I added a touch of delay to enhance to the Andromeda's 'Moog' style fullness, then exported the sound file to imovie and added some pictures of my old studio room. Enjoy!"
Moog muSonics Sonic V Analog Synthesizer serial#74
via this auction
[videos below]
"This auction is for a Moog muSonics Sonic V. It has 2 osc's (saw, tri, square/pulse) 2 lfo's (saw, ramp, tri square) a ring modulator, a noise generator (white or pink), an external input, 2 outputs and 2 built in speakers. The speakers can be bypassed by using the second output. It is monophonic (plays one note at a time) and/or duophonic (plays two notes at a time). It even has a 'scale' knob on the front panel so it can play microtones I suggest having a tech range/scale this synth as it is, at all ranges, a little out of tune (listen to the audio). It wasn't an issue for me but it might be for you.
The Sonic V has a 24db diode filter which is very expressive. It has that Moog sound when you want it, but you can also have it sound quite different. It can sound more gritty or aggressive then other synths containing the traditional Moog 24db transistor ladder filter thanks to the diode filter design and also to the addition of the ring modulator. It has a 4 octave keybed that is a pleasure to play on. The keys play like new and the synth is quite stable. This synth is in perfect shape inside, and fair/decent shape outside. Please check out the pictures and videos to see the condition of the wood/metal and notice that it is missing a few plastic slider caps/knobs. The most noticeable marks are a slight dent in the metal faceplate top center and the wood at the right front corner is damaged/chipped in two places... I've done some research over the the past few months and I believe this synth was built in 1971 and that less then a few dozen were ever made. I would give the exterior a 7 out of 10. and the inside a 10 out of 10. (These are my opinions!) The instruments functions all work 100% however there is a low level high pitched whine in the output. Whenever I use this synth I just use a noise gate. I've had lots of fun owning this synth and wish that its next owner enjoys it as much as I have. Please see the pictures and enjoy the videos."
