"Attempt at doing some Weasel Busters style jamming skillz on my RS7000 in Pattern Mode utilizing crazy section changes sort of like he does, but not quite as good. Could use some polishing for sure, but it was fun none the less. All sounds came from the RS with some re-sampling. Enjoy!"

1976 Korg PE-2000 Poly Ensemble K5

via this auction

"The PE-2000 was a professional synthesizer when it came out in the 70's and was widely used by the pioneers of 70's electronic music. For a sample of the sounds of this amazing synth listen to late 70's Vangelis or Tangerine Dream especially on the "Thief" soundtrack. This is Korg's second production synthesizer and truely prehistoric when it comes to synthesizers. This was Korg's attempt to get full polyphony in a synthesizer. It has three oscillators per voice and sounds monstrous. Here is a sound sample of the string patch http://www.till-kopper.de/korg-pe2000/Strings.mp3 (note this is Till Kopper's site) Here is a youtube video featuring Tangerine Dream using the PE-2000 to good effect: [below]. Also JM Jarre's Equinox Part 8 is nearly all done on a PE-2000. This keyboard is massive and heavy! It's about the size of a marshall 2x12 combo amplifier, but no need to worry because the shipping is free!"

2009 Optigan Disc: MINIMALISM feat. Tara Busch!

YouTube via peahix
"Now available for pre-order at http://www.optigan.com/shoptigan

Here's a hot new sound for the 1970s, straight from New York City! Mesmerizing musical kaleidoscopes throb from East Village loft windows and trendy art gallery doors, where less is definitely more More MORE! And you can be right there on the scene with the new Optigan Minimalism
program disc!

Your left hand conducts a tight ensemble of organ, flute, saxophones and bass clarinet- pulsing bass on the special effect tabs, and whirling arpeggios on the chord buttons. Your right hand plays vocal solfege melodies, sung for you by none other than Tara Busch of AnalogSuicide.com!

So fill up your glass and take a deep, satisfying gulp from the sonic ocean of Minimalism!

Performance Notes:

The Optigan Minimalism program disc was arranged specifically to allow for a large variety of extended harmonies by pressing two or more chord buttons simultaneously. For instance, holding down C Maj and E Min will produce a C Maj7 chord. G Maj and D Min combined will produce a G9
chord. Also, since the basslines on the special effects tabs contain no thirds, they can be used equally well in major or minor keys. Let your own imagination be your guide, and make your own kind of music!

Music arrangement and production by Pea Hicks
Vocal solfege scale sung and recorded by Tara Busch
Disc creation software, disc production cover artwork and jacket layout by Robert Becker

Rhythms: 4/4
LEFT HAND: Electric organ, flute, saxophones, bass clarinet.
RIGHT HAND: Female vocal solfege.
SPECIAL EFFECTS SWITCHES: 1. Bb Bass 2. F Bass 3. C Bass 4. G Bass 5. D
Bass."

Using Youtube as a delay Unit; Experiment Part II

YouTube via RothHandle. And now we know what this means.
"An Experiment using Youtube as a random tempo delay unit for a modular sequence I posted last night. This could be used to create Reich like sequences and interesting rhythmic effects. I think it is a really interesting Idea. This might be old news for everyone else but I like it !

If you decide to use this this idea please drop me aline...Id love to hear the snowball in motion.

In this example the computer is going line out through the spring reverb in the modular system.

This film was shot at Roth Händle studios in Stockholm. For more info please visit www.roth-handle.nu"
