"The Yamaha CS-10 is a great mono synth. Great for solo's and bass sounds.
In this clip I also use a delay. Just get into that delay and fly away !!"
Casio RZ-1 with TR-808/909 DMX eprom + more
YouTube via wotatwaat
"This is a fully functional Casio RZ-1 with several extra features. The eproms have been changed so now there are 4 different kits. There is a TR-909 kit, TR-808 kit, DMX kit and the original RZ-1 kit. As well as this there are 2 pitch controls, 1 controls the first 8 sounds, the second the last 4 sounds and the 4 samples. There are 3 6 position rotary switches which give various distorted, flangey, glitchy effects. There are also 2 tone controls for the samples."
A chaotic theme
YouTube via attorks
"The sequences in this theme seems to be fairly random but there is some structure. The Synthesizers.com Modular is driven by an 8 step sequence on row 1 of the Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer. The Self-Built Modular is driven by a 6 step sequence on row 2. Row 3 controls the timing of all 3 rows. Adding some delay on both Modulars adds to the random feeling of the sequences. I couldn't leave it without a melody so I added one at the end using the Mellotron flute voices on the Roland XP-80."

via Joe: "The guy who spearheaded the robotic instruments project LEMUR (league
of electronic musical urban robots) is named Eric Singer and I saw some of the first instruments he was working on at his space in brooklyn, and I think they all responded to normal midi. Really cool stuff."

Modular synth - Real drums
YouTube via stensgata44
"All sounds programmed on a modular synth (Modcan, MOTM, .Com) no other instruments used. I have tried to make the sounds as authentic as possible. 7 osc, 6 filters, 5 ADSR and amp + + used in most sounds.
The most difficult sound to make is the cymbal, i used 7 osc`s in three different layers (bandpass filtered) for the impact and short/long decay. The difficult thing is the tuning of the oscillators; it takes small tweeks to get it to sound like anything else than a cymbal. But hey, even Roland gave up and sampled cymbals for their 909 :-)"
