"Incredible organic sound. Matrix Modulation programmability. Extremely versatile MIDI implementation (per voice if you wish). Interfaces with all your vintage CV gear and even functions as a CV-MIDI convertor!"
"Vintage ARP ODYSSEY Mark I (Model 2800) Synthesizer. Rare transitional black/gold version. Serial # 282xxx. Made in Newton, Mass., USA. Appears to be 100% factory original with no mods or repairs. This late "white-face" has the mini-jack Trigger/CV/Gate ins and outs and a very rare "sequencer"(on) and "normal"(off) toggle switch above these jacks...I've never seen another 2800 with this feature and indeed it looks like a factory job inside and out (matching silkscreen text).
The former owner of this Arp was well-known S.F. Bay Area keyboardist Tom Coster (you can see Tom with an Odyssey on stage in Germany in 70's with Santana: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHc6c6K2jBo) [video below]...I left his old sticker on the back but it could be removed easily. My guess is this was never his gigging Odyssey because it's just too clean, he probably had several. I also have a vintage Anvil case (also marked Tom Coster) that the auction winner can buy if they want for $100."
