"I recently finished a modular system. It's basically a Paia 9700S system in a new shell, with a built-in midi keyboard and a homemade 10-step sequencer based on the Baby 10 schematic.

I tried to make the case as small as possible, so I gutted an old midi keyboard that had miniature keys. The red plunger buttons on either side of the keyboard transpose the octave up or down, so it's possible to play all notes in the midi range. The midi cable comes out from the interior of the case and goes into the faceplate, so I can unplug the keyboard to use a different controller (like drum pads).

The case is built out of acrylic, and the lettering is dry-transfer.

"This is a video demonstrating the disassembly of the prophet~600 and cleaning its contacts. In order to keep the video within a reasonable time frame, i made the speed of the clips sometimes 2x, other times 4x. I'm not a film person.

I added a track to this video, it was the result of a jam session a while back so its not perfect.

"This is a quick video showing the features and assemblage of the next kit project at the REUSEUM.

The video shows the kit placed into a modular panel for a synthesizer but the kit can be placed in any kind of enclosure like a pedal or even a cookie box.

The guitar is run only through the kit filter in this video. Besides being a filter there is a overdrive feature in the kit which creates the distortion sound on the guitar. No other effects or signal processing were used.

Participants in the workshop will receive a kit that includes a pre-printed and pre-drilled circuit board, all the electrical components and instructions required to assemble the kit.

The video was shot with a handheld video camera and the sound was recorded with its on board mic. This was done to give a real idea of what this filter sounds like. The sound recording was not treated in any way."

"One empty baked bean tin, some lego and a stack of little magnets... stick magnets on the tin and slide them about to 'program' the sequencer, then grab hold of the 'transport control' and crank away.... The breadboard contains 5 hall-effect switches and a PIC16F688 to generate MIDI note on/off information. This is piped to Reason in the first half of the clip and to a Dave Smith Mopho synth in the second half.
I reckon with a baked bean tin about 16ft in diameter and about 25,000 magnets you could dump your sequencer software.. and you'd be getting some good aerobic exercise to boot :o)"
