"This song has been recorded under use of several Simmons and Musicaid gear (Musicaid used to be Simmons' predecessor). The snare is a Musicaid Analog Clap Trap, the toms come from a Musicaid Simmons SDS3, the bassdrum is a Simmons SDSV tom. Blue Monday has originaaly performed by the great 'New Order'"
"Sibi Siebert, Simmons buddy from my hometown and former product manager of Simmons Electronic Drums, created a performance especially for the Ludwigsburger Trommeltage. Therefor I supported him with my SDX unit. My unit was even originally owned by Sibi. And now, 3 owners later, he is once more sitting behind it.... All sounds and loops are developped by Sibi and fired from the SDX. There is no additional playback in the mix"

"This video is supposed to give you an impression of this milestone in edrum history. It is still the most expensive edrum system of all times. I don't want to give many sound examples because in my oppinion the library is not that exciting, but all these advanced features (back in 1987!) have still a great influence on today's edrum systems and will have in the future of electronic drumming. Hopefully my English is not too bad...."
"The Simmons SDSV is supposed to be the mother of all electronic drums as it has been the first one that had been produced in a noticable number (between 1981 and 1984). The characteristic hexagonal shaped drum pads conquered the stages all over the world at the beginning of the 80s. This movie gives you a slight impression about the capabilities of the SDSV"
" It has always been a home studio synthesizer, and has never been gigged or toured even by its previous owner (who happens to be none other than Neal Schon of Journey!)... You also get a NEW FACEPLATE for the unit. I bought this around the time I purchased the OB and never put it on. You can see how vibrant white and perfect the faceplate truly is in the photos. The O.S. is the newest (2.0) and the internal battery isn't in need of replacement."
