How it works 5 knobs numbered 1-5 tune the oscillators and the keys switch them on. In normal mode it can make simple melodies and harmonies.
The switch on the top left can make all the oscillators sync to the first oscillator. This has the effect of making the oscillators lock to the nearest harmonics of the first oscillator and makes some very strange harmonies.
The chaos depth knob makes all the oscillators attempt to sync to each other. The result is quite extreme unpredictable noise and sonic convolsions.
The circuit is descrete transistor which gives the sound a rich analogue quality. The case has a nice vintage industrial design with engraved lettering and moog style knobs.
Takes 9v battery and has standard 2.1mm power supply socket Size is 26cm x 17cm Output is mono 1/4 jack
"A short ambient type track mostly created with Sugar-bytes Consequence.Audio 1 is a sample I created earlier with Reaktors kaleidon ensemble and the Bass track was created with Motu BPM. I just picked up consequence the other day, I was sceptical as to how useful it would be for me, but in the short time that i've owned it I have created a suite of presets that i'm using in larger tracks that i'm working on."
Thought this was interesting in that it's available from Touched By Sound. See this post for some history on them, Braintec, and MAM. They also made the original DRM-1 prior to Vermona according to this post.
"Hybrid FM/PCM keyboard synth with MIDI. Identical to the PSS 480.
Multi couloured Metallic Paint Job on the keys, changes colour depending on the angle of the light.
Loads of Glitching on the Digital drums, mounted on Rotary Switches and toggles for live expressive performance.
Sadly haven't been able to mod the FM section (yet)........"
