via this auction"THIS RARE VINTAGE MONOPHONIC ANALOG SYNTHESIZER (SERIAL # 392214) IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN WORKING CONDITION (ONLY AROUND 200 OF THESE WERE EVER PRODUCED!) - AND THIS ONE HAS EVERYTHING. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY TESTED AND IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. EVERY KEY CONTACT FEELS & WORKS PERFECTLY - AND THIS SYNTHESIZER HAS A PARTICULARLY GREAT & ROCK SOLID, SMOOTH ACTION. ALL BUTTONS, SLIDERS & BOARD CONTACTS HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
PROGRAMMING:THERE ARE SIX FACTORY PRESETS & ONE MANUAL PROGRAMMING POSITION ON THIS UNIT.
THE SIX PRESETS (FRENCH HORN, TUBA, VIOLIN, SAX, CLARINET & SOLAR ECHO) ARE PERMANENTLY FACTORY-PROGRAMMED PATCHES ACCESSIBLE BY THE COLORED BUTTONS TO THE RIGHT OF THE PROGRAMMER. IN ADDITION TO PROGRAMMING OPTIONS SUCH AS WAVEFORM SELECTION & OCTAVE RANGE, THERE ARE SEVEN FILTER POSITIONS, THREE FILTER CUT-OFF POSITIONS, THREE FILTER MODULATION POSITIONS, AND SEVEN FILTER ENVELOPE POSITIONS. THERE ARE TWO ATTACK SPEED POSITIONS & FOUR TYPES OF VCA ENVELOPE RELEASE. THERE ARE TWO PITCH MODULATION (VIBRATO) SETTINGS & ALSO OPTIONS FOR VIBRATO CONTACT DELAY.
THIS SYNTHESIZER HAS ONE OSCILLATOR WITH CHOICE OF TWO WAVEFORMS - SQUARE & SAWTOOTH. ALTHOUGH IT HAS A THREE-AND-A-HALF OCTAVE / FORTY-FOUR KEY KEYBOARD, IT HAS A SIX-AND-A-HALF OCTAVE RANGE. AS THIS UNIT WAS PRODUCED BY HAMMOND TO SIT ON TOP OF THEIR FAMOUS ORGANS, PROGRAMMING IS MODELED AFTER ORGAN DRAWBARS - THE THEORY BEING THAT ORGANISTS REMEMBER PATCHES BY DRAWBAR NUMBERS. FOR EXAMPLE, "444400200" ON A HAMMOND B3 EQUALS A CERTAIN TYPE OF LEAD SOUND. IT WORKS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY ON THIS SYNTHESIZER - ONCE YOU'VE DESIGNED A SOUND, IT BECOMES VERY EASY TO RECALL USING THIS SAME NUMBER SYSTEM.
