Bugbrand Weevil Quad Oscillator Noise Synth Box

"There were only a few of these made. it is a 4 oscillator synth, the oscillators are in pairs and are ring-modulated together, there are pitch controls for each osc, with one of each pair switchable to a light dependent resistor (a light based theremin). These oscillators can mixed and crossfaded plus have the ability to be momentarily muted or engaged depending on the switch at the top.

It has a 1/4 inch guitar jack out on the back plus two mono-mini jacks that were added to interface with an analogue modular synth.

Patch this up with some delay and reverb and you are in instant space, or run thru some distortion for noise heaven!"

OB-Xa in split mode with some self-made sounds: oscillator sync-lead, lush strings (upper) and sample/hold sequence (lower).

The sound character of the curtis chip based OB-Xa is very different to the early discrete and SEM based OB-X."
