"The TR-626 features 48 preset and 48 user-programmed patterns, for a total of 96. 30 drum voices may be individually tuned and volume-adjusted. Shuffle and flam features may be applied to add character to your sound, as well! Six tracks can be stored in the internal memory; this memory can be increased three times with a storage card (not included).

Perhaps the best thing about this machine is the graphic display, making it easy to visualize every beat your patterns and keep track of your track's progress! This has made a real difference for me on countless occasions. You could literally program an entire track without even hearing it if you wanted, because it is so neatly mapped out. Of course, you will most likely prefer hearing the deep, rich sounds of the machine in your studio as you work with it, which is the mode I most frequently used. As you may have guessed, the unit is midi-capable."
