YouTube Uploaded by thedeepelement on Nov 27, 2011

"Xart and Trash_Audio hosted Charles Cohen and Tyler (together known as Color is Luxury) from Philadelphia for a day of guided improvisation workshops and conversation. Their style of improvised electronics has been garnishing attention internationally, particularly Cohen's mastery of the Buchla Music Easel. Here is their performance from June 19th in Chicago."

Rainy Days and Sundays always get me down

YouTube Uploaded by cwinkels on Nov 27, 2011

"Some Sunday wiggles. Two channels of audio in this case, the "dirty" one is an Oakley VCO through an STG Post-Lawsuit filter. The "clean" channel is a Q106 through an Oakley Croglin and Oakley Deep Equinoxe."

November de-rain-gement.

"Continuing my litany of bad puns. This is more or less the same sequence as the last video, only it's just one voice run through a delay line with a little more involved tweaking."

Micro Patch Synth: patching and arpeggiator demo

YouTube Uploaded by ArtistEngineer on Nov 26, 2011

"In this video I demonstrate how to patch the keyboard to VCO1.

I then play each arpeggiator pattern in sequence.

NOTE: The software still requires a fair amount of work to reduce the noise and buzzing from the waveform synthesis."

Micro Patch Synth: arcade madness

Uploaded by ArtistEngineer on Nov 27, 2011

"If you've had enough of the 6 note Blues scale, here is the sound of a video game arcade on crack.

* LFO controls frequency of VCO1
* Pot controls the waveform of the LFO
* Joystick controls frequency of VCO2 and frequency of the LFO
* VCO1 + VCO2 feed into the ring modulator"

Micro Patch Synth: LFO modulation of waveform

Uploaded by ArtistEngineer on Nov 27, 2011

"LFO is now working.

The patch is like so:

Arpeggiator gate to LFO.sync
LFO.inverted_output to VCO1.wave
2x pots used to control VCF1.offset and LFO.freq

YouTube Uploaded by Cranda11 on Nov 27, 2011

"This is a quick overview of the highlights of Phaedra, the "analog" style four-channel MIDI sequencer for iPads, coming soon from NaughtyPanther.

In this video, Phaedra is driving a DSI TETR4, a Doepfer modular synth, a Korg Monotribe, and an Eventide Space and TimeWorks. No DAW is used in the sequencing. Everything is being clocked from Phaedra."

"Niklas Sjösvärd and David Sabel (electronic music composition students) going about at the new Buchla 200e and the old 80's Serge. Recorded at the re-opening open house of the studios after total renovation.

This snippet shows only a fraction of their jam - they played for about six hours!

The Lindblad Studios is the department of electronic music at the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg, Sweden."
