Roland D-50: Using Chase function- (demo)
YouTube Uploaded by TheSynthFreq on Dec 4, 2011
"HI! :)
Here's a short demo of the Chase function offered on D-50.
Although its not an arp., it's a useful feature. The Time and Level of 'Chase' can be changed to effect how long 'Chase' will occur and how loud the delay/echo of each note will be.
The speed can be varied as well. There are a few configurations of U & L that can be specified by the user . Those setting are: U/L, U/L/L, and so on. :) TSF"

1981 MOOG International World Map of Synth Service Centers
via this auction
"YEAH! This is it! The Holy Grail of Moog accessories; The fabled MOOG International World Map! This was included with a Moog Source I bought back in '83. The Source is long gone, but I held onto the map and kept it folded and safe...until now! Never hung, no tape, no pinholes, no rips or tears, and no pen or pencil markings. Suitable for framing, map is delicate but in great shape and ready to be hung in your studio! I don't know who the coolest record producer in the world is, but I know they better have one of these in their studio! Has a full map of the world on one side (circa 1981) and a full directory of authorized Moog service centers on the other."
Dolittle Ram Cartridge
via Mark
"Dolittle B-25 Turbo Ram Cartridge for Kawai K-3 and K-3M synths. I am trying to find out more information about the cartridge (how many banks total as compared to the basic Kawai RC-8 Cartridge) Also, what is the value of a cartridge like this?"
If anyone knows, feel free to leave a comment.
Malmö Syltjam 2011 - Pollux Mimi-A & Syltjamsynth
YouTube Uploaded by DevsoundSE on Dec 4, 2011
"Demonstration of the Pollux MiMi-a 6-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer.
Built by Ricard Wanderlöf in 1987.
This amazing synth features 6 voices with two oscillators per voice plus sub-oscillator, controlled digitally by a Z80 processor and lots of home-built logic. Each oscillator has individual envelopes. It has a filter that is based on a design found in the Moog Rogue, it has a mod that allows CV-control of the resonance (the synth is even signed by Bob Moog). It's built entirely on copperless veroboard!
It sounds just amazing! This recording doesn't do it justice!"
Malmö Syltjam 2011 - Syltjamsynth
YouTube Uploaded by DevsoundSE on Dec 4, 2011
"Some videos of the synthesizer that was built during the 3-day synth-jam in Malmö 2011.
It consists of an Arduino with midi-shield, and a switch capacitor filter.
At first it had a nice 4-oscillator super-saw playing monophonically.
Later, 4 note polyphony was added, for a total of 16 oscillators!
At the end of Sunday it also had portamento, volume envelope, oscillator spread and pitchbend! All controlled via MIDI-CC.
Full schematics and source code soon avalible on devsound.se"

KORG MONOPOLY Analog Synthesizer | HQ DEMO
YouTube Uploaded by AnalogAudio1 on Dec 4, 2011
"The Korg/Mono Poly is a well equipped Synth: It has 4 oscillators, oscillator sync, cross modulation, PWM, noise generator (white noise), 24 dB Filter, 2 ADSR envelopes, 2 LFO's with many waveforms, ARPEGGIATOR, CHORD MEMORY and portamento. The built in microprocessor makes many things possible: chord memory, arpeggiator, and polyphonic playing.
It is built around SSM chips like the Korg Polysix. I think, with the MONOPOLY Korg wanted to produce a synth as an alternative to the Minimoog and Sequential Circuits Pro One. Please don't expect it to sound like a Minimoog. The Minimoog remains one of the best sounding analog synths, and the Monopoly (like many others) can not compete in terms of sound quality. However, it sounds great and gives a lot of inspiration. It is a flexible instrument with an amazing potential.
The most characteristic thing on the MonoPoly is the arpeggiator, when it triggers the oscillators in poly-mode. Every step of the arpeggiator triggers a different oscillator - unique patterns can be produced.
I played the Korg MonoPoly along with a Roland DC-30 delay, a Roland DEP-5 (delay) and and a Lexicon MPX-500 (reverb)."
